    [Prank] Washing Check [Prank]

Warning: Before reading on in this guide please do not I REPEAT do not, use this guide for anything other than a prank on your parents.

This may or may not work depending on how old/new the checks are that you'll be using.

    Requirements:
    Two parents
    A check
    A pen
    A bowl/container
    Scotch Tape
Nail Polish Remover(Other liquids can be used but this works best)
    Paper Clip
    String

    Step One:
Con one of your parents into writing you a check(say it's for lunch money or something).

    Step Two:
Tape off the important information on the check
Don't tape over the amount or the reason for writing the check.

    Step Three:
Fill the bowl with nail polish remover and submerge the check in the bowl.

    Step Four:
Remove the check and hang out outside using the paper clip and string. To let it dry evenly.

    Step Five:
Once dry remove the Scotch Tape

    Step Six:
Change the Amount and Reason to something that will make your parents flip out. Like example I used "1,000.00 and For: Gina- Call Girl"

    Step Six:
    Show your mom/dad.

How this played out for me:
I made it look like my dad was using a call girl service without my mom knowing. I take the check and show my mom saying "I found this on the floor board in dads truck," She immediately starts to flip out and runs screaming at my dad. I sit by laughing at the site of my dads face. Then I tell her it was all an april fool's prank.

I thought it was humorous and I'll post pictures later on, wont take them if this guide wont be approved or if it gets deleted.

Sorry Owain, I knew that would be an issue. I'll work on thinking of another way to use this method for pranking purposes.

Washing checks is illegal and is done by scam artists. They get checks from people for various things, wash everything off of them except for the signature and then they have a blank check. They can write in the amount they wont, cash it and be long gone before anyone can catch them.

This is the same thing except were not going to scam anyone, it's just a simple prank. Washing a check is like erasing something written in pencil. When someone writes on a check in pen you can do the same thing using nail polish remover. Covering up the things you don't want "erased/washed" with scotch tape and just removing the amount.

I hope that clears things up a little better.

Thanks for the elaboration, I didn't quite get it either. But wouldn't the tape tear the paper off of the check? This has happened to me with paper things before. Other than that, that's hilarious. I'm gonna try it out ASAP. :)<

Well it probably wouldn't if you used real Scotch tape, but the nail polish remover weakens the adhesive on the tape without damaging whats under it. This makes it easy to peel off. If it sticks, then try peeling it off when it's still wet instead of dry.

You can try and get arrested/sent to jail for a very long time. Only very skilled and professional scam artists know how to do this and get away with the money without being caught. I was just saying it has been done before, and now theirs new checks that have ink that dissolves in certain types of liquids.

I already have a warning saying you must agree to only use this guide for pranking purposes so I believe that excludes me from any illegal action if someone is stupid enough to try it.

    Edit requirements to

    "Lunchlady via Principal?"

I've done this before. I heard from a friend, but I don't think I used duct tape... w\e tho..

I made a check, it was "$50,000" to the school lunch. Lunchlady brought me to Principal to talk about it , I said "I just want my fuckin' lunch", he gave me detention so I told tha bitch it was fake =]
