Jagex with their own OSRS client?

Why do you guys think Jagex has not capitalized on their own client, such as RuneLite? Jagex could
easily throw together a client that they could give for free, or sell for a small profit, and they could
completely capitalize on it. There was a day when SwiftKit was around, there was a day when Jagex
would tell you NEVER to use a third-party client. In todays world, being 2018, after SwiftKit, EliteSwitch,
whatever questionable clients that were out there, we have RuneLite and OsBuddy and others that are
insane improvements on those back in the day, and Jagex allows them now, completely, and supports it.

It's weird to me how they could be anti-client, then pro-client, but not just make a better version of their
own client to keep people at good peace of mind and perhaps even profit from it

 

Now, hadn’t they already done so? I use a client downloaded from runescape every time I’ve played.

Unless you’re suggesting a client with tools, calculators, recommendations, timers, clickers etc.,

 

Yeah that's what I mean.
It's something they could make money on, or give to the players so they don't have to go to third party.
Either way, I think they're due for a client upgrade..

 

They are too lazy with stuff like this

 

Maybe they dont think it's worth investing money to have a team specifically create a runescape client with tools.

Runescape is a game not a "make a client with helpful tools for runescape" company.
