I'm new, how do I start a bot farm?

Hello, I'm relatively new to botting and so far I've simply been experimenting with it a little bit to see how to avoid getting banned etc..., and I've pretty much been able to bot for min 10 hours a day now without getting banned ever so it seems I've got that figured out fortunately.

The next step for me would naturally be to use and/or make (but probably just use) more advanced scripts and to begin botting multiple accounts at a time. Which is precisely the problem. I don't actually know anything about bot scripts/clients and all that, or how to successfully bot multiple accs at the same time without getting caught, what I use right now is probably the bare minimum I could use which is this small auto-clicker program called "GS auto clicker".

My question is, where do I begin? Where should I be searching for potential scripts I might be able to make use of, what clients should I use if I need to use them, tips and advice like that. Or if there is already a thread that adressess exactly this, please lead me to it.

Find a bot that you are comfortable using (in my opinion I used RuneMate when I had a RS3 gold farm). To be able to gold farm at the highest levels you will have to buy a private / custom bot from someone but until then you could use paid bots (on RuneMate its $/h) or even try free (although much higher ban rates). You will then have to find a place to run all of these bots, personally I used VPS servers that I put Ubuntu onto and got them running that way, can use VPS that has Windows installed (although not as efficient as Linux), or just use a spare computer.

These are just some simple tips, there are people that do sell guides on exactly what to do or websites that go in a bit more detail than I did.

Thanks for the advice, I'm currently using runemate and testing out a few scripts. Would it be too suspicious if I used 10 seperate bots who used the same script, given that the script itself is hard to detect. Also, is it a problem to have them all bot on the same world in the same area, or should I place each of them in a different world to avoid detection?

    Thanks in advance.

I would say generally just use different worlds, as it would be easy for a possible J Mod or a bystander to ban / report all of your accounts in one go if they wanted to. It isn't too suspicious using the same script on 10 bots, I used the same script on hundreds of accounts and the reason why I got banned was because I was playing 24/7 at a known botting hot spot.

Oh sorry to hear that, still seems pretty impressive you were able to run a bot farm that big for a while at all without getting caught right away, anyway I think that's about all I needed to hear, thanks for all the help.

I'm new, how do I start a bot farm?

Sorry for the long text ahead, I tried to be conservative but it didn't seem to make a difference.

Okay so I've ran into a bit of troubleshooting again, and I can definitely see what mistakes I could've potentially made but it's hard to tell where to draw the line and what I should improve on since it's not clear to me what I specifcally did that tipped off jagex that my two accs were running bots, after which they immediately got perma'd. Both were botting in OSRS btw.

    The situation:
    • Acc1: This account was using a tanning bot in al-kharid for I think around 5 days, after which I got perma'd right after running my bot for I think 4+hours for the first time.

However, I have to add that not only had I been running a bot on it (with manual breaks) almost 14 hours a day, the time around where I was banned should presumably also be somewhere at the beginning of the work hours of whoever is in charge of the bot detection department or w/ever(was it mod wreath? idk).

So that'd probably mean I did something to get detected by the bot detection software they have.

    • Acc2: This one's more simple, I made it, bought 24M worth of bonds (I just wasn't that interested in doing another 5-day bot run) on the first day and proceeded to bot 7 hours straight during work hours again with the same bot. Perma'd the second the bot itself logged.

    • Bot in question: A free tanning bot from runemate, I'd give a link but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to provide one in this situation. It appears to be a pretty decent script though so I don't think that's what got me banned.

Conclusion: There's a few things here which is what I assume that ended up getting me caught.

    1. Botting for too long. I guess even if you bot during a time period where there's no jmod manually looking for bots, you can still easily get caught. It's strange though, because I did bot on my rs3 account for 10 hours straight picking flowers in lumby castle on a daily basis for over a month and not once was I banned, no warning or anything. Which leads me to the next problem.

    2. Getting reported. If someone were to look how my account behaves it'd be obvious it's a bot.

    3. Botting on a new acc within 24 hours after buying bonds. Fair enough.

    4. Using a commonly used script executing a commonly botted moneymaking method. I believe that, along with nr1, this is the second biggest reason I got caught, not only because I doubt the script I used was rarely used in general to not be recognized somehow, I was also using a moneymaking method which people bot often.
Now figuring all this out is not necesarily my problem, the problem is that it conflicts with what I'm trying to do and I don't know how to work around it.

I'm trying to create a bot farm consisting of 10 bots that run each day for somewhere between 7-10 hours, and the above issues are things that I only have a very vague idea on how to solve so I can make this a reality, so it feels like I'd only be on a wild goose chase. So I'm left with these questions.

    • Should I buy a custom script for tanning hides, or should I simply move on to something less suspicious entirely?

    • How do I avoid getting reported?

    • When can I bot on an acc safely to avoid nr3 happening again?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know it's a lot to ask at once, but I simply don't know how else to phrase this and I'd rather not try and figure this all out by myself since that would either cost me a precious amount of time, or a precious amount of money. Potentially both.

I can show you if you like. I can call you on my phone. I can show you on YouTube how to do it and show you what software to use.

I have unlimited worldwide calls on my contract.

I appreciate the offer but that's not really what I'm having trouble with. I know how to set up a bot, the issue is that I need to figure out how to avoid getting banned without putting a crazy amount of effort into the individual accounts to make them look less suspicious on a dialy basis.

Simba with SRL-6 (100% Color), never experienced a ban on it (1-90+ combat, 1-85 divination etc)
    Edit: 12+ hours/day with breaks

This is impressive, did you manage to max or otherwise further train skills with no bans whatsoever? Not to grave dig per se but to OP-what did you finally choose to accomplish your bot farm?

Nah i quited after a while cuz it was too easy, most likley i would be able to 99 them without any issues.

RS3 bot detection system sucks lol
Edit: Got a almost maxed 07 for sale right now, hes also partly botted.

U should be good as long u doing human hours, using good scripts and watch ur steps.

    1) Download the bot client you feel most comfortable with, do your research.
    2) Purchase a VPN and have one IP for your botting IP address
    3) Make multiple accounts with that IP address
    4) Train all the accounts by hand in F2P for a a few hours
    5) Put a bond on the accounts
    6) Train them a little more by hand

    7) Start botting in the direction you want on all the accounts
    8) While botting - make more accounts

    Repeat.
Eventually you will have a farm, however, if you're not running many accounts it may not be worth it depending what you're botting for.

So could anybody confidently and definitively state that bots today are as successful as they once were during the RSBot, Keiko, Perfecticus inflection day’s? That’s honestly my favorite period in my RS history, I maxed an account and also earned 120 Dungeoneering with minimal efforts. To be fair, I trained Slayer legitimately but also had a Soul Wars bot that provided at least 3-4 levels from 90-99.

Bot development stagnated while botwatch progressed. Botting is definitely less successful now than it has been, but it's still possible to level most skills if taking it slow.
