Does love really exist? ​

Is 'I love you' a phrase used to make others feel better about themselves?

I highly doubt some sort of emotion comes from here.




Theorys​

"Involves a consuming passion for the well-being of others" - definition of the 'love' emotion.

"The butterfly effect you experiance when close to someone" - definition of physical emotion.

"We are prone to love those who are loveable. We are prone to love those who are able to provide us with pleasure and satisfaction. I like to call this 'transactional love'--most of us are only willing to love if we get something in return. Most of us fit into the 'I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine' mentality." - Selfish love.

We, as humans, are born with our hearts on our sleeves.
It's who we are, and it's who we've every been. That phrase above, "We're prone to love", completely right.

No, "I love you" isn't just a phrase to make someone feel better. It can be used as one, don't get me wrong, but it's not. ;D

There really is no one definition for love, because like your post said, they're different kinds. One kind is selfish love. [pssh]

When you've give up your only life for something/someone, it's love. There's really not to many other ways to put it.

I like it and I agree with it 100%.
Actually no one can deny that love is there.It's different kinds but the most popular one is the love between Male and Female. I think love is the most powerful emotion ever. But unfortunately it lead to bad ends as it doesn't always end in a good way.

 

Sorry but, love between Male and Female is a sort of narrow minded statement. >_>

It all comes down to the person using it.

i think the whole bf gf thing is bs. when you truly love someone you will know.

 

But it takes time to develop that feeling. Therefore you might as well to commit yourself to eachother until then.

I think there are different types of love: sexual and friendly. I love my friends, not sexually, but as friends. I love my parents because they gave me life and because they feed me and keep me alive, and you could love your girl friend or boyfriend in a sexual way and a friendly way I guess.

 

lol love doesnt come from any of our body parts, its just an emotion that we made (i believe anyways)

the phrase "i love you" is becoming a cliche, it is way over used. People say it without actually meaning it, its been watered down.

Love does exist, but people get it confused with lust. it also doesnt come from the heart lol. its something you have to experience to really understand it. iv had girlfriends, but i dont think iv experienced real love.

According to the person. Everyone was created and he had love in his heart. He can use it or not . This will stay until the end of life.
