How to get Free Ringtones (AT&T/Cingular)​

Are you tired of wasting money on ringtones? Do you want to impress your friends by having the newest ringtones? If so you have came to the right place. I will simply be showing everyone how to get free ringtones; this method will only work if you have AT&T/Cingular.

To receive ringtones you will need the following:
- A Phone
- Ability to receive text messages
- Ability to use the Internet on your computer and phone

1. Go to http://welcome.wireless.att.com/

Once there, click on “Click here for your FREE Ringtone!”


2. You will be redirected to a page asking you for your phone number. This does NOT have to be your real number.


3. Once you have entered a number, you should see a new screen a code in the middle. Copy this code; you will use it in a second.

Click on the link under the code, and you now see a page of ringtones.

4. Now this is the fun part, find and select the ringtone that you want. Once you
have; click the buy button next to it.

5. You should now be asked to select your phone. Select the brand of your phone from the list on the right.

A window will popup and will ask to select the model. Do so and continue.

6. Now you will see a page confirming the ringtone that you picked. Enter your
REAL phone number, and paste the code that you copied from earlier.

You will receive a text message right away, and be able to download your
ringtone.

Tips:
- If you type in a number that has already been used, you will see

Just go back and type in a new number.

- If you do not receive your text message right away, go to messages on your phone and look at “Browser messages.” Here is where you will fine all the messages sent to your phone from AT&T.
- You do not have to buy a ringtone with your code. You can get Games, Graphics, Videos, and a lot more cool things.

I'm assuming, since the ringtone price said 2.49 that it ISN'T free, and is charged to your cell once you download the ringtone? -.^ Otherwise, nicely detailed. <3

 

Yes, it says the price is 2.49 but if you use the code it is Free.

The whole point of the guide is to use the code, which allows you to get ringtones without paying a penny.

Therefore they are free.

Wow this is a pretty good guide, is this just a exclusive promotion that Cinuglar is having or is it a full time thing.

 

I think it is a full time thing because I have know about this for about a year.

It used to be www.Cingularwelcome.com but they changed the name because AT&T bought Cingular.
