    What's Beyond Space?

We learned in school that space is ever expanding. Faster than the speed of light due to dark energy. You can't see, hear, feel, smell..anything it. Its what is sucked into black holes..not just stars, but the stuff in between the stars, dark energy

    What's Beyond Space?

NO ONE will EVER know to tell you the truth. Some people believe that the space is expanding but re-stating to what macroman said:" to wat" where is it expanding, theres also theories like it is like a ball and it curves so you end up where you started. There are also theories which some scientists believe in which state that space is indeed expanding as other galaxies are racing away from the milky way, but they also believe that soon they will come back together and bust. I don't really know what to tell you, this topic is very controversial and there are many theories out there. Believe what you want to believe lol.

    What's Beyond Space?

Or, we could redo the question.

Where is space located? (apart from above our heads, genius.)

    What's Beyond Space?

There is nothing beyond the universe because the universe is everything, if there was anything then it would just be part of the universe.

The universe is CREATING time and space as it expands.

people that say there is anything outside the universe then you dont know what the word universe means, it means EVERYTHING, uni, one of etc. who dug out this thread anyway this has been answered 100 times

    What's Beyond Space?

What's beyond space? nothing, no objects, atoms or anything. But because it's nothing it can extend forever, to infinity(and beyond haha). It's difficult to explain and understand, but it seems to be a somewhat imaginable answer.
This nothing exists forever, but because it's nothing it doesn't actually exist.

    What's Beyond Space?

you completely are, even to the extent of not knowing what "universe" means.

the universe is everything, how can there be another everything outside of the already existing everything? wouldnt it just be apart of everything? uni means 1, there is only 1 universe.

    What's Beyond Space?

Space is infinite. Enough said. There is no "beyond space".

    What's Beyond Space?

What is it expanding into? A vast infinite space of nothingness? That space of nothingness would be a part of the Universe.

    "Beyond space" doesn't exist.

    What's Beyond Space?

This is EXACTLY what i was going to say... He is 100% right.. No human being on earth can comprehend the size of space it is unlimited and the "end" will never be reached.

    What's Beyond Space?

Some people believe that the 5th dimension is "Nothing" its just where everything ceases to exist in a paranormal and un-explainable manor.

In this dimension space and time simply don't exist anymore.

    What's Beyond Space?

I belive we're someone elses' experiment. We're in a test tube, an ever growing sea monkey universe. The people who created us, are someone elses experiment - so on, so forth.

    What's Beyond Space?

    Wrong.

The current accepted theory is that the universe does have boundary conditions, and mathematically this has been proven correct based on other theories that are currently accepted. Does this make it a proof? No, however an infinite space does not fit with with current models of the universe, nor how the universe started.

To understand this you must understand what the universe is. Put in the most simplest form possible, the universe is 4 (possibly more), but 4 dimensions that we can actually notice. 3 spacial dimensions, 1 time dimension. Space and time are related, and together form a spacetime fabric that is effected by matter. Space and time are seen to be expanding by the Doppler effect noticed in various galexies we can see. This shows us that space and time, are expanding. If space and time started at a singularity, and expanded from there, they cannot be infinite.

To understand what is beyond the universe is a fairly hard concept, because you must understand that SPACE itself does not exist outside the universe. The current model suggests that the laws of physics just do not apply, or exist for that matter. What does this mean? It means that you do not have space, you do not have time, you do not have any forces, you CANNOT have matter, it's just completely nothing.

That sure as hell isn't science..... The 5th dimension, and subsequent other dimensions are considered to be very tiny, and wrapped up very tight but are used in M-theory to explain certain things.

Dark Energy or dark matter doesn't really have properties, it's simply a 'We don't know, but this must be here for our theories of gravity to work'.

If an object was moving away from us faster than the speed of light, how would the light reach us?

    What's Beyond Space?

It is infinite and ever expanding. So space is space and theres only going to be more of it out there.

and to Shawn : scientist's "current" theories are always being disproved and a new more accepted theory becomes popular. DON'T BE A THEORY LEECH. theories are always displaced.
