5/10. The processor, graphics chip and RAM are nothing special, nor is anything else for that matter. How come you're getting it for free though?

 

It's not bad, could get a better graphics card though

I agree. I'm on a laptop with 221 gig and 2 gb of ram. =| nice for free though

 

I must say; better than mine. Gj on getting free stuff, although i would sell it/use the cash to get a better computer.

 

Looks nice. Install Linux on it to get the max out of your hardware. Keep Windows to waste half your resources, and let everybody and their brother control how your system works.

 

I like it.. Hook me up with one jk its nice I would upgrade graphics though

 

I'm gonna upgrade it to 4GB RAM, 2TB Harddrive Space, Nvidia Geforce 8800 series graphics card and more

How i'm getting for free is my little way of making thousands online

 

After those upgrades it will be ten times better but in it's current state it is fairly decent.

Pretty nice comp. Although once you get 4gb of ram you'll be able to multi task faster like me And did you get the comp from selling pins or rs stuff?

 

Make sure you get the 667mhz ram because that's all it supports. Only get 3 gigs of ram because windows can't read 4gb so buying the extra will be pointless. The only way for windows to detect it in windows xp will be by using the 64bit OS. Instead, get windows vista 64bit which has way better driver support and get the 4gb ram. Also, consider getting an Nvidia 260 series card. They are under $300 on newegg.com and they are pretty freaking beastly.

Also, your MoBo only supports 1066fsb (Front Side Bus incase you don't know) so if you're going to upgrade to a better processor that it supports, get an Intel q6600. Right now it's under $200 on newegg.com.

With the integrated graphics the MoBo has currently you won't be able to run any current gen games. The integrated will only be useful for low end games (runescape) like flash or whatever.


You also said you're getting 2tb hard drive space. If you're looking for performance get a 300gb 10,000rpm hard drive for about $300. They are freaking fast but really expensive, I bought one at bestbuy and used it for a week then took it back because I didn't have the money, but it was fast. Also, if it can support it use a raid array. Maybe raid 5 I belive, get 4 500gb hard drives and have raid 5 to link em all together and you'll be loading up windows on startup in like 5 seconds.

I hope you are not paying over 300$ for this, because my Walmart computer that cost me 300, has about the same specs as this.

 

for free thats good, other wise pretty bad.

Right now im custom building a very good comp, total cost is only $700

has evga geforce 9600 gt, 250 HDD, 2 gb ddr2 1066 memory.

Also gigabyte isnt that good of a motherboard, ASUS is much better.
