Sythe's favourite bands

This is a thread to post you favourite band(s) and why he like them.
When I write the word band I really mean any artist in general from any genre.

I guess I'll start by saying my favourites:
Every new day - a sweet hardcore band with more focus on instruments and vocals not to much screamo which is alright
Underoath - good hardcore band with meaning
Evergreen terrace - no one can resist evergreen terrace
Demon hunter -Gets me f**kin pumped before a game and good to skate to
Killswitch - the lead singer has a good screamo voice aswell as normal singing voice
Nirvana - Nirvana is...Nirvana

 

I enjoy the following.

1. children of bodom
Because I have yet to hear a band with such sweet guitar riffs and alexi laiho is my idol guitarist.

2.candlebox
Simply because there lyrics are meaningful.

3.acid bath
Because they are a more morbid band and I enjoy the feeling I get when I listen to them.

 

Nine Inch Nails - Their songs are well written, well produced and meaningful. I like that.

The Faint - So fucking awesome. Their songs all have a good beat and are easy to get into.

 

Children of Bodom are my favourite.
Pretty much the same reason as Deadzone

 

Dropkick Murphys - Punk with a celtic twist (I'm irish.)
The Offspring (old stuff) - Great guitar riffs and vocals, and alot songs with drum + bass verses.
Megadeth - Full of catchy songs, with great guitar riffs, and Dave Mustaine has the best thrash metal voice out there.
The Clash - Great mix of Punk, Reggae, and rock and roll.
The Ramones - Great punk band with catchy but simple music.
Rancid - Amazing punk/ska band with alot of attitude and great music. Good reason to believe that Punk's not dead.
Avenged Sevenfold - Good metal band with amazing performances on all instruments, and outstanding guitar solo's

Those are just a few of my favourite bands, but they're all great.

Devil Wears Prada:Just Simply Amazing For a christian Band.
UnderOath:My First Hardcore Screamo band i have ever listened to and got into.
Silverstein:amazing lyrics,i live 15 mins away from them, and paul koehler is my cousin.
Alexisonfire:There screams are simply amazing,i love there lyrics, and the rythm of their music.i live 20 mionutes away from Dallas Green =]
City And Colour:very easy listening, some emotional songs that can get into you. Dallas Green Is My Idol!
BlessTheFall:Amazing Screaming,Singing,Amazing Guitars.Simply Amazing.
Bring Me The Horizon: Good Deep Screams, Oli Sykess Is CRAZY AWESOME.
Alesana:most people dont like, the singers voice isnt the greatest, but still good lyrics.
I Have So Much More.

 

Lamb of God: Sick ass vocals and also have awesome riffs on some songs.

System of a Down: Lyrics are meaningful and vocals are pretty good.

BlessTheFall: Awesome screamer and good guitar riffs.

Slipknot: They got good vocals, and riffs are pretty good in some songs.

Mushroomhead: Both vocalists are good.

Dethklok: Guitar riffs.

Coheed and Cambria: Guitar riffs and vocals are good at times.

As I Lay Dying: Vocals are cool.

Nightwish
They're symphonic underlays are simply amazing with their metal sound. It amazes me that this combination would even being to sound good, yet they pull it off well. I'm a fan of both Tarja (the old singer) and Anette (the new singer), they are 2 different styles (very different), but they are both amazing.

Slipknot
Awesome rifts, Sweet masks (well I don't like some of the new ones, like corey's, but craig's and joey's still remain my favorite ). They also put on an awesome concert. Loved seeing them during Mayhemfest this year!

 

Rage against the machine.

Brilliant, meaningful lyrics - Zak's voice turns me on too ;]

Behemoth - Amazing lyrics, skilled players the total package

Nile - Are you freaking kidding me? These guys are gods, excellent use of Ancient Egyptian mythology and scales incorporated within their music.

Kalmah- Great talent, amazing constituency and originality.

Quo Vadis- great riffs, amazing solos very versatile etc.

Older Cryptopsy - Lord Worm = Beast as well as the rest.

Eternal tears of Sorrow - Great melodic riffs and lyrics

Sonata Arctica - one word: Perfect.

 

I lol'd irl, srry. Get some dieing children up in here - same sound.

lmfao, get some repetitive riffs, crappy meaningless solos shitty hip-hop influence and you get the "band" you have mentioned.
