    Fear

This is fear in a nut shell. Fear is basically like when you are paranoid your body starts to react because it is uncomfortable in the enviorment that you are in when fear strikes you, mostly fear is when we are afraid of death because we think about it and face it nobody wants to die people just commit suicide from depression, they dont want too but things in their life dont happen the way they want it too and they dont try to make things better =\ they just give up. Fear is an emotion, when you experience it your body is telling you that it doesnt want to do what ever your about to do.

    Fear

If it is an unknown thing, then you are going to naturally be afraid of it (most people), because you dont know what it could do to you.

Also, when you hear something about it (Like how dangerous pitbulls are, just because someone got attacked, not all are mean, but you learn to fear them.)

    Fear

you do not know how to fear something until you are taught to. We need fear to survive just like we need to feel pain, but the things we fear sometimes are uneccessary, we learn sometimes through life how to overcome those fears which cause us no harm.

    Fear

Most fear the unknown :) E.g. Death, dark deep water, etc.

    Fear

Surely your bountiful, compassionate god wouldn't do anything to cause you harm, except maybe bestow famine and plague upon those who can't help themselves. In a nutshell, god does NOT exist, so why should you be afraid? "destiny" - Sounds more like this god of yours is dictating what you do with your life!

    Fear

Sorry, but if you're a Christian the kind of fear you're referring to is way different from the original meaning.

And anyways, I think most of you people are afraid of Death. And some are scared of other things (pickles, balloons, cotton balls)..Etc. Why are they scared of those? Maybe because they think a pickle, balloon, cotton balls, knives can result in their own death. Just my theory.

    Fear

All causes of Fear can be divided into four categories: intensity, novelty, hereditary natural reflexes and reasons hidden in human social interaction. Pain and loud noise are examples of intensive stimuli; unfamiliar faces can cause Fear because of the novelty. Situations known to have threatened the members of the same species for an extensive period of time may evolve into natural causes of Fear for this particular species.

Example, bugs being stood on - when something as big as a human approaches them they will try to run and hide.
