Sythescape promotion non-existent?

Are CDT/PR going to do anything to promote the server or what? The few people who are playing so far love it, but it's completely dead atm and there's no signs of serious promotion anywhere other than from us players.

It's an entire RS-based server, the game which most people on Sythe are involved in. There's a massive amount of competitions etc. that can be arranged based upon minigames and the likes. I would have thought this would be obvious and had hoped the development teams would be all over this already, considering the server has been open for a couple of weeks now.

I really hope there is something in the works because I feel like the hype is already over, even after 2 weeks ish. For something that took months/years to develop and see the day, the promotion of such project should be the main priority in my opinion.

The server holds a lot of potential and it would be a shame to see it die because of a missed opportunity or a lack of preparation or w/e you want to call it.

 

Love the server and I also hope it grows.

 

A big problem is most advertising is very expensive and until we average a big solid player base it'll be out of the question. I'm looking at various other options though.

 

I think a good idea would be to reach out to the big players in the RSPS industry on sythe. For example, @Searchy (who I am in talks with) - @pokole , @King - among others who may be able to promote us via their SIG's at a hugely cheaper rate than a banner on one of the voting sites, or indeed Sythe.

 

I suggested a couple things to other individuals who are running the server, which I'm not sure how much say CDT/PR has, but a few things that could help are (all free/require little effort):

1) Hosting sand-box giveaways for the server as well as hosting giveaway events on the Sythe Discord/OSRS Discord.
2) Having a stickied section that can be bumped to promote the server in the RSPS RWT section as that has tons of traction, and since the server allows RWT that would possibly help boost the Discord/Server growth a lot.
3) Kickstarting voting on every toplist at the start of the month by making a community thread/Discord announcement in all affiliated Discords (or other Discords that want to help as well) by having dope incentives to vote right away (top 3-5 voters of the week or month get a prize, or the more votes = more entries for sick prizes at the end of the month, etc)
4) Anyone who promotes the server banner for an entire month gets double exp for 48 hours, or some sort of prize, or whatever (just throwing around ideas).

I know I mentioned these before in the server Discord/to some who run the server, but maybe mentioning them here could help as well.

 

RSPS in general is slowly decreasing in players. Would be nice to see this RSPS getting active tho :/

There's one big unignorable reason why CDT/PR hasn't promoted the server and won't until the matter is settled.

 

This was hype 2 years ago when there were first talks about it. Seems like even though it was still being developed it was just swept under the rug, Also why does it share a launcher with 3 other servers? That was an instant turn off.

Needs more events and promotion definitely. With some fixing and added incentive, with separating and replacing the zarpor forums with Sythe will definitely benefit both sides.

 

Was expecting the server to be more alive when I joined. The hype seems to have died down right after release. Hopefully it gains a lot more players. The server also has uptime problems. Is it not 24/7?

Someone should go change the situation, then.

If more people had banners, created threads and perhaps did more promotion, I am sure it would be beneficial.
