Do animals have rights?

In short, that's what I was trying to say.

 

no Animal's don't have rights But are proteched. This world prefers animal's to actual people. (Like me).

A lot of people in this World prefers animals to humans, If someone kicked a dog in public there will be a public outcry, If an adult gets kicked it's just another day. It is simple, Animals are more friendly and better to be around then most people nowadays.

 

I disagree. The world prefers humans to animals. Evidence: Kill a dog, then kill a human. See which gets more police attention.

Yes they do, as stated obviously not the same of us in terms of the law and in how most people would react to loss of life or violence against one or the other, but trust me when I say the pets get more rights than the humans in my household at least! c;

 

If you bring me the picture of that monkey and put 1000 monkeys in front of me, I won't be able to identify which one it is.
Do this with a picture of a human being and put 1000 people in front of me, I'll be able to identify the person exactly.

That is the difference. The answer to this particular question or "lawsuit" is simply no.

What society do you live in where kicking a helpless dog would incite a stronger social reaction than kicking a helpless woman?

Wait, rights depend on your ability to recognize differences in facial features? For example, I can pick my dog out of 1,000 dogs, but I probably can't pick a Japanese guy out of 1,000 Japanese guys, since I live in a predominately white culture. Are you saying dogs have more rights than the Japanese?

Well, what's "food"? If a culture eats dogs/cats, as several around the world do, are you saying that they suddenly don't have rights?

Thanks, but don't get me wrong. I don't think that a monkey has the rights to its own image because it has no concept of intellectual property, and it's not owned by anybody that does. Don't worry, I'm not a PETA nut.
