HOW TO FIND A COMPETANT ATTORNEY
[[ Fifth guide lucky, wooters, my best one by far ]]

Who among us knows how to navigate the judicial system with the proficiency to protect themselves and their family?

An attorney? Yes, an attorneys representation is the driving force in protecting your rights and assets. But how can you be sure that you're putting your trust in the right attorney?

    Step1:
There are no guarantees when selecting an attorney, but there are ways to weed thru the multitudes and make an informed choice.

First and foremost, referral from a satisfied former client whose case was in the same area of law, is the best method in choosing legal representation. No two cases are identical, but you can judge the attorneys overall performance on this basis.

    Step2:
Most state bar organizations have online search features for the public that allows attorney lookup and offers some basic information on attorneys practicing in their state. The will tell you how many years the attorney has been in practice, an outline of their education, their legal business address and contact information and possibly negative marks on their record.

I would advise not judging an attorney too harshly on one or two negative marks as they are dealing with people in conflict on a daily basis. These clients are emotional and sometimes look for persons to blame if their case does not get settled exactly as they desire.

Attorneys can use their skills etc. to the best of their ability but remember that what they have to work with is what you bring to the table and the strict guidelines, laws, and rules that courts allow.

    Step3:
It is also helpful to look for an attorney that has been practicing and established in your cases' jurisdiction for an extended amount of time. They will likely know the judges, court staff, etc. and can mold your case to meet the personalities of the people that will ultimately decide your cases' fate.

    Step4:
If you are satisfied with your results, be sure to let others know as they also may be searching for a competent attorney.

Oh how this helps all those envolved in such. >_<
