Defense or Fishing?

Ok well I'm about to get membership again and I was wondering should I get 99 fishing first or 99 defense first? Right now I'm 86 fishing, in a day or two I'll be 87 and I'm 78 def, 78 attack, 80 strength. Irregardless of which one I pick I am going to get 80 attack and def right away, then I'm either going to get 99 fishing or 99 defense. If I get 99 fishing I will be fishing around 75k monks and then I'll have around 30mil cash If I get 99 defense right away I will be doing pest control the whole way with a whip, full void melee, dragon boots, rune defender, a strength ammy, dragon battleaxe spec, and as many 4 dose super attacks I need for 99 def lol.

Here's my current thoughts, I may just get 99 fishing since I'm closer and I'm not rich (only about 3.5 mil in the back ) And while getting 99 fishing so I'll have a ton of cash sounds nice I love the Def cape and it would be nice to have a trimmed fishing cape right off the bat. Also if I get 99 fishing first I may go do bandits with full guthan's but I'm not too sure. What's everyone's thoughts? And don't say strength >_< I like strength but until I get 99 def its staying at 80...


As I said earlier irregardless of what I choose to do I'm still getting 80 attack and 80 defense right away. But I'm combat 100 in members and I have 80 strength, will be 80 attack, will be at least 80 defense, and 79 hp atm. Hope the stats also help. P.S. right now I am 81k exp from 87 fishing!

 

Fishing then defence.


Why? - Because if you get 99 fishing you'll be able to create large sums of money with which you will be able to spend on food, and armour in particular. It will be a lot easy if you do it in the order mentioned above.

Flixster I added my stats that are relevant so you can see if you think I'd make a good tank. Remember if I do train defense first then I will be doing pest control which means I could use the points on say ranged if you think that needs to go up too. If you do suggest I train that as well please say to what, I know 70 would probably be good.

 

I think fishing will be good, you will have cash.

 

99 Defense has always been my dream, so i would have to go with that.

But, if you are low on money, go for fishing first.

If you get boring whilst fishing, then go train def. for a bit

Well it is still pretty split between the two ideas, what do you guys think about getting say 91 or 92 fishing right away, then going and training def to 99? That way I would get tons of cash without wasting another month just fishing, and then I could do some way better training you know? That was another thought I had. Because then I could afford Guthan's for afk training at bandits Does that sound better or no?

I have decided to go with the majority vote here. Most people said do fishing so that's what I'm going to work on. I'm sure I'll take breaks here and there to train defense but for now thats what I'm working on.
