what does the year 2012 have in store for us?

A calender may end in 2012, but what evidence is there of any sort of major, world-wide change?

 

The only reason this hypothesis is different from every other doomsday theory is that the other theories were created by people who didn't have a long history of calculating natural disastors and using astrology to calculate when other astrological events were going to take place. The only problem I have is how we only assume that this is what the Mayans were trying to say. I do believe that we are going to end the current astrological age and go into the next but aside from that there isn't any evidence that anything else is going to happen. Perhaps the calendar ended because the Mayans believed that they were going to require a new calendar with a few more or less days? And perhaps they simply didn't recreate a new calendar before hand because they thought they would make it incorrectly and have to remake it afterwards anyways? I just don't see any real evidence pointing to the world ending or anything bad happening just because a calendar ends. People did survive without them before they were invented...

From what i understand heat and pressure are the main causes of those types of weather.

 

It's not just heat though its the difference in air temperatures which create pressure buildups that cause wind, which in turn causes hurricanes and tsunamis and other atmospheric weather phenomenons.

 

exactly.. also i've heard theroies which which state that jesus will finally come in 2012.. but i don't exactly believe in them.

I think its complete bullshit. Honestly, why would we even look into the Mayans calender other than being art? It is so inaccurate I don't see how people can honestly read it.

If it does happen, it will most likely be caused by nuclear warfare. In 2012 the world, and its people will blow itself up.

Our sun, is a star. Stars go through a life cycle, and our sun is just at the beginning. It has much larger to go, and once its a supergiant, the size of it will be pretty much directly on Earth, swallowing up mercury and venus. This MIGHT give Neptune possible chances for life, but unlikely.




The way human life will fall is because energy crisis.

You have somehow mixed ignorance with idiocy. The Earth would get destroyed LONG before the sun became a supergiant. The sheer energy of the sun coming even remotely closer would incinerate us. Also, if it became a supergiant it would cover and "swallow up" the earth LONG before it became a full-sized star.

 

hey guys im from lithuania and read about this in my language,i dont know if u said it,but in that web it said that in 2009 we (he mean lithuanians) can see the nibiru planet like the sun.

btw.even nasa website says that they have discovered a new planet,nibiru.
