[Guide]How to Backflip on a Trampoline

How to Backflip on a Trampoline

Have you ever wanted to learn how to do a backflip like the Olympic gymnasts do, but fail every time you try? Did you ever wish it'd come by magic? Here's a simple guideline for you!

    Steps

1.] Start by warming up on the trampoline to get your body ready for the challenge. For your first try, it helps to have a friend watching. Let your friend do the counting (1, 2, 3, GO!!). Usually, the counting of another person helps overcome your hesitation and gets you going. Once you’ve warmed up, start off by rolling backwards and popping to your feet.

2.] When you feel comfortable enough, try the back-drop and throwing your legs over.

3.] Try doing a back handspring while looking over your shoulder once you're comfortable with the steps above. Turn to the side and get used to going backwards. Train your back to be more flexible, basically

4.] Keep repeating step 3 till you can land on your hands. Challenge yourself by speeding things up, slowing things down, and perhaps, you'll eventually do a semi-flip on your hands.

5.] Think good thoughts, motivate yourself. If you are excited and think that the back flip is fun to do, the answer for you is yes, it is! Remember practice makes perfect, and patience is a skill you can learn. You don't want to break your neck! Keep to falling backwards and landing on your hand. Train and prepare yourself!

6.] Keep jumping and practicing, until you feel physically confident to force yourself to do a back flip. Remember, to look upwards, not down! Don't look over your shoulder either. You do any of these and you could end up hurt

7.] Practice jumping higher each time. When you think you're up for it, take a deep breath and go for it. While you're in the air push as hard as you can and lean back and bend your knees, look back like you're looking into the sky to find the trampoline. You might over spin the first couple of times but that’s all right. Don't give up if you don't get it the first few times, but also remember to do this with caution!

8.] Position yourself when you go for the jump and look backwards. When you find it, your instincts will take over. Keep practicing and you may find yourself doing the back flip one day!

    *Tip*
Do warm ups! Stretch or take a walk for 10 minutes, and when you start out, jump up and down on the trampoline until you feel your feet getting the hang of it.

As pure said, pictures would be VERY helpful for this guide. As for the content in it, without the pictures, I think you may have included a bit to much vocabulary for beginners to know what your talking about. Things such as "hand springs" are something that I myself know, but others might not. Your best bet is to describe in detail as much as you can, post pictures, and if possible, videos! Over all it was an ok guide for me and I'd give a 6 or 7 out of 10.

It's good to see you added colour and you wrote it in paragraphs. But you need pictures. Pictures help a person to have a better understanding about something. Next time please try using pictures.
