What should I watch out for when buying an account?

I'm looking to maybe buy a pure or zerker soon. I was wondering what behaviors and types of things in posts I should look out for.

Also what are some things that you would consider trusted?
Sometimes I see people say [$15,00 traded] in their thread title but it kind of throws me off for some reason and makes me suspicious.

 

Thanks this is what I worry about the most, it actually happened to me last year from someone who is a really trusted user in the community. But I didn't have enough proof to prove it so I didn't make a scam report. I wasn't so mad about the account being recovered, I was more upset because of the effort I put into it.

You wouldn't recommend buying from a mod either?

The truth in my opinion is that nothing matter , someone with a lot of vouches can wake up one day and decide they are done and scam , this is less likely to happen the more vouches someone has but there is no guarantee and there are multiple examples of this.
When it comes to buying an acc my best tip is dont do it and do everything yourself including the training and you will have an acc forever.
If you want something safe you will have to grind. Also if I were to buy an acc I will take a mod over a normal user with w.e vouches that user may have.

 

If you want the peace of mind whenever you type in your username and password and never being shown the "password incorrect" or "account locked" screen I would suggest creating your own account, recording all of the exact details of creation (IP, date, etc)

and then having it serviced by a trusted servicing company (plenty here on sythe)

might be time consuming but this is the only way I know where you'll be able to have the account you want without any possible recoveries (at least due to the owner).

 

You shouldn't buy accounts, period.

However, if for some reason you feel it's the only option you have and want to take unnecessary risks (instead of creating an account yourself and paying someone to train it for you for example), there are certain account selling sites which request ID from sellers before reselling the accounts to you. I think this is the safest bet you have if you want to avoid having your acct recovered.

I'd imagine someone who is giving to give over such information isn't planning to pull a fast one (and I'd assume some of these account selling websites might even offer a money back guarantee? Not sure you'd need to check on that).

If you buy from one of these sites though, be prepared to reach deep into your pockets.

If you want an account so badly, either make it yourself , or make an account, and have someone level it for you from scratch. Bought accounts have little to no longevity. Yeah, it will take a little bit for the account to finish, but it's worth it in the long run.

I was thinking of buying an account,
but I decided to create my own just so I'm safe it'll never get recovered back or if it gets locked I'll be able to unlock it.

I paid a few members to do services on my acccount and train it. within 3 months of playing I have my own account that's secure the way I wanted it.

Moral of the story is, it's honestly better if you create your own so you have nothing to worry about.
