what does the year 2012 have in store for us?

I've been reading a lot for some strange reason about the year 2012. A year that is supposed to be full of end of the world predictions. For example the mayan calender ends exactly on dec,21, 2012 11:11 pm and this is when i don't know if i am exactly correct but the earth will move from the north of our solar system to the south and hence the gravity and other forces will be completely different for the earth. I believe that i read that as a result, there will be more volcanoes, tsunami's, hurricanes etc. In addition we will also have an apocalypse for the first time. Additionally, isn't it so odd that the day the Mayan calender ends the earth shifts so greatly so a place it has never been in in history? There have also been talks about an epidemic and a huge disease that will spread around the earth, and kill millions. its just the day when the mayans stopped there calendar... just like the year 2000 when ppl were waiting on a hill to be picked up by aliens...

 

Just because a calender ends doesn't mean this world will shift.

The worst that will happen is that the World *may* stop rotating for one hour, and then carry on. This won't dramatically effect humans, apart from shifting our clocks a bit backwards.

 

We must sacrifice a virgin on the first of that year.

Think about this: You are a calender writter, making a very long calender. I am pretty sure you wouldn't keep writing forever, right? They just happend to stop it in our life-time...

And some people might be saying *omg, its going to be on the first day of winter, what a coincidence!!!!" Well, I think that the Mayans started their year on December 21st because that is "when the sun was reborn" (started getting brighter) and they would end their year the same day they started it. Or maybe the day before. =P

If something DOES happen then, and I live to tell about it, I am SO editting this post...

 

It's a little more interesting than a simple Mayan calender, though that is the primary base of it.

Yes, the mayan calender does in fact stop at the year dec 21 2012, which is somewhat interesting when you consider the mysterious circumstances regarding the mayan civilization.

Additionally, Terrence Mckenna has constructed a calender out of the I-Ching which also points to the same thing, that history will end near the end of the year 2012... this is called his time wave zero theory and it actually makes a lot of sense if you read into it... well it makes sense if you can comprehend the complete dualistic and polar nature of the universe, if not then don't bother.

There's also a lot of astrology involved in it, I'm pretty sure all the planets align on that date, it's also around the approximate end of one of the great cycles, where we leave the age of Pisces and enter the age of Aquarius... There's a lot more crazy astrological stuff surrounding it but I don't know enough about it to get into it right now.

So yes, regardless of what happens, 2012 is a very important date. But don't worry, because all ends are simply beginnings... it's all going to be ok just enjoy the ride!

Actually, I'm pretty sure we are reaching a higher vibration at the moment... I can attest to this based off personal experience (I've had telepathy and other super natural phenomenons occur through the guidance of unknown forces, yes please call me crazy)

It seems like people are getting the wrong idea about what the Mayans thought.

There's been so many claims of the world ending I don't see how this one is any different...

 

Because this one can logically happen, although the Mayans seemed to have though differently about their own calendar....
