Why does Sythe go down so much?

I think the title says it all. The website goes down a lot more then any website I have ever seen, and its slow even if it's not down. I am not really complaining, but could someone please give an explanation?

Where someone who hates the site (Sigex) has a program that rapidly sends attacks to the ip of the site.

Hence the huge amount of visitors to members.

 

well i think it gets that busy that the server overload coz normally uk time from 12 -12 i cant get on but come on about 1:00am early hours the morning and it perfevct

Its a bunch of script kiddies who hate the site and have nothing better to do. For anyone wondering DDoS attacks basically just flood the servers and make the website unable to handle anymore traffic.

Sythe moved servers a few days ago, so you should no longer see much down time.

Also, a DoS is not always to blame. The amount of users on Sythe is increasing daily, more and more traffic heading towards Sythe... that will generally be the cause of the slow loading times on Sythe.

Lock please Doesn't go down at all anymore, and very much faster now. The only time it ever seems to go down is when they are moving things about to make sythe go faster.
