How to Create a Dry Ice Bomb

In this simple guide, I will tell you how to make a Dry Ice Bomb.

Materials
To make a Dry Ice Bomb, you will first of need a few materials.
1 Plastic water container
A cap/top is needed for the container

3-5 Pinky size pieces of dry ice

2-3 Cup's filled with water

Many different store's use Dry Ice for cooling consumable goods. Some places would include: Hardware Store's, Ice Cream shop's, Ice Store's in general, Grocery Store's and believe it or not I've seen Dry Ice being sold in a Variety Store.

Procedure
To make a Dry Ice Bomb, your going to need do a few simple step's, and have fairly quick reflex's.

Step one:
Open up the water container that you have decided to use, and pour the 2-3 cup's of water that you have with you inside.

Step two:
Insert the Dry Ice into the water bottle, gently and one at a time.

Step three:
This is the part that you need to act fast in. For this final step, you will need to scew on the lid to the top of the container, shake the bottle, and then run away to a distance of at least 5 meters from the bottle.

This, I want you to find out by yourself:
What will happen if you add mento's in?
What will happen if you throw the Bomb in a pool?
What will happen if you put it in a very small bottle?
What will happen if you put something in the bottle, for example a pencil?
What will happen if you do this with an aluminum can?

Ah, did this with my mate before, he threw it and it exploded in mid-air, a piece of charred Dry Ice slicing his arm open. Yes, it's not very nice, so be careful

I did not think that this really fit's under that category.

I just named it Dry Ice Bomb, because that is what me and my friend call them. The only way that this would harm someone is, if you used a very large amount of it, and stood right beside the place were you are planning for it to unleash it's power. Also, it is not really a visible explosion, just the Pop Bottle stretch's till it snap's, realeasing the air trapped inside at high speeds.

 

So umm yeah, then you lose an eye when the pencil shoots you in the head. And aluminum can, well lets just say... that would also tear your fingers away if some of the metal shoots you, sort of speak. So yeah, I think we got the picture?

 

Well, I will spoil it for everyone else that wanted to try it I guess, but when you put a pencil in, it gets shredded to tiny piece's, and when you do it with an aluminum bottle, it doesnt explode, but all the paint on the outside melt's and the can becomes a small squished up lump. You looked to the bad side and thought something bad, while I actually did it and saw something way cool. Please actually conclude an answer supported by evidence before you post something next time.

 

All you have to do is watch Mythbusters or go on youtube to figure this out, but nice layout.
