Abortion : Right or Wrong?

So, are you Pro-Life, or Pro-Choice?

Personally, I am Pro-Choice. Why? I think that if you start limiting the rights of others, then it happens in a domino effect, destroying everyone else in the process.

I mean why not, I dont see how a blob of cells is a human until it is born, and can live by itself.

So, what are your views?

This thread has nothing to do with rape victims. This thread is talking about abortion in general, not rape victims.

 

Yes and if you explain it too a pregnant mother like that they feel as though they are killing a part of themselves... Ultimately in some circumstances ifeel that abortion is neccesary, if the wellbeing and so on of the baby is obviously not going too be maintained.

 

I agree with Finn, what if a white girl aged 12 gets raped by black guy? How is this right? Besides the government shouldn't control your body. IT'S YOURS.

 

Due to the fact the Embreyo is part of the mother and completely reliant on her, the mother should be allowed to do what she wishes considering it is in theory part of her body.

Though I still think that all life is precious, wanted or not.

No, Abortion is the mothers choise,Men Shouldnt choose for them.

 

That's what i think it would lead to if this were to happen.

 

Theres NEVER going to be an answer to this question.

Its 100% dependent on the circumstances.

Scenario 1:

A couple in highschool isnt careful in highschool, and has unprotected sex and the girl is pregnant, but istead of taking responsibity for their actions, they have an abortion.

In this case, abortion is wrong.


Scenario 2:

A 15 year old girl is raped by an older man and becomes pregnant. It was not her fault, and she would be being held accountable for someone ELSE'S actions..

Bottom line: If you are having an abortion to escape being held accountable for your own actions, its wrong. If its for the good of a child, for instance a baby being born with a spinal deficiency, would be justifiable, or in a rape case where the victim will be held accountable for a stranger's actions for the rest of her life, is also justifiable.

There's never going to be a solid answer to the question "Is abortion right or wrong?" Because there isnt one.

 

Why is abortion wrong in the first case.

 

What if your mom had not been pro-life?
You know damn well you're glad you had been given the chance to be born.
People don't see an uborn baby as a person. Simply as a future problem.

 

i will ALWAYS believe that it's wrong no matter what everyone else says. You're basically killing a human being, and i think it's intolerable. To me its the exact same thing as killing someone already born and hence i find wrong.

I think people should be allowed to have an abortion if they want. The world is getting overpopulated, there isn't enough room or food for everyone to share. Yes, you're denying a person the right to live, but that would be like saying safe sex is denying millions of people the right to live every year. "You know damn well you're glad your dad wasn't wearing a condom."

 

I believe it just depends on your circumstance. Like if some chick gets pregnant once a month and gets an abortion every time then thats just wrong, she shouldn't be allowed to do that. But if it was unavoidable such as being raped etc then i believe they should be able to abort and shoot the guy that raped them while they are at it. Or even if the family thought they could support the child but then say their financial situation changed and they knew they could not support a child then i agree they should be able to abort.

 

An unborn baby, while human, can't be classified in any way as a person (at least until circa 24 weeks). If the unborn baby isn't a person, there's nothing wrong with killing it. I would classify abortion as "right" when it is what the mother wants.

 

Well you have to look at it this way. People make mistakes and a lot of the time people wouldn't be able to give the kid a good life anyways. So what is the point of making the kid live a terrible life, that isn't fair either. I'm pro-choice.
