Welcome to my first guide about how to make a quiz type thing in power point. This is a very good way to impress any teacher, which my physics teacher asked me to teach him how to do this. (He is the schools IT, networking, and computer dude guy.) I will show you how to make a 1 question multiple choice quizzes, using just 1 slide. So go open up Power Point. When you open PP (Power Point), you should see something like this. NOTE: I am using office 2003! 1. Right click on your blank slide, click on slide transition. 2. Under “Advance Slide” uncheck “on mouse click”. 3. Create a textbox and put your question in there. 4. Create more text boxes, so that you have 1 for each answer. 5. Fill in the info. 6. Add a title to the top. 7. Add a word art that says “You’re right!” and one that says “You’re wrong!” (Leave them right in the middle, unless you want to move them.) For those who do not know refer to the following picture to make word art. The picture is near the bottom of your screen. 8. In one corner make a text area that says back. Now your slide should look something like this: 9. Right click on any of your objects (Any of your textboxes or word art) and select “Custom Animation”. Your screen should look like this: 10. Select everything except for the right, wrong, and back spaces. (Hold control and click on them) 11. Click on “Add Effect” then go to exit, then click on Disappear. (If Disappear is not there go to “More Effects” and look for it. 12. Right click on one of the names in the custom animations section and click on “Timing”. (Make sure that all of the things are selected) 13. Click on Triggers, start effect on click of… (Pick one of your answers) Your screen should look like this: 14. Repeat 13 until all your answers are done. Your “Animations” pane should look something like this: 15. Repeat 13, except this time you must use “Appear” in the “Entrance” section. (If it is not there got to “More Effects” The trigger you want is the back button. 16. Click on the “You’re right!” word art. Make it appear when you click the right answer. (This means you must do what you did for the last step, but changing the trigger and the object). Your screen should look something like this: 17. Make the “You’re wrong!” word art appear if you click any of the wrong answers. (Meaning make triggers for all of them). 18. Now make the “You’re right!” and “You’re wrong!’ word arts, plus your “Back” button disappear when you hit the back button. 19. Make the “Back” button “Appear” when you click on any of the answers. 20. Make all of the animations “Start with previous” except for the first one for each trigger. (To do this right click the animation and click on “Start with previous”. Note: This may not have to do this step. 21. Test it, and work out bugs, which there might be some. Note: If you see “You’re right!”, “You’re Wrong”, or “Back” objects when the PP starts simply add “Disappear” to the object and set it to “Start with previous”. Do not make it have any triggers or anything. This is what my finished one looks like: I impressed my teacher by linking to other slides, since I had no time to fuck around with this. This is much easier than adding links to other slides and its cool as shit! I hoped you liked my first real guide. Well, I rewrote this guide and made it clearer and added images, so it’s my 1.5th guide. I hope you liked it.
wow.. very nice.. i never even knew you could produce quizzes from power point, i am for sure using this in the future for a school project to impress my teacher! excellent work great detail, a lot of pics, understandable, 10/10! man keep on going with the guides!
I like it, but there are tutorials out there just like this. Powerpoint, as with all Microsoft programs, are very widely known how to use and therefore many users are advanced and have created tutorials. I suggest making a more advanced and in-depth overall guide for the program to compete. Otherwise, could use a bit more color and better cropping. Some helpful tips! I know you were mod here when I had tried my heart out for it, so I know you're aware of guides and everything about them. Usually I wouldn't be so picky, but I expect greatness from you!a
