    iPod assistance, please.

Well, my iPod classic (video) had been working beautifully for some time, then when I now plug it into the computer, absolutely nothing happens at all.

Could anyone help with this issue?

When you plug the ipod into the computer go to the software handler, and do 'Run Script'.

That should work, if not buy a new cable to computer, if that doesn't work... you bought a fucked I-Pod.

    Glad to help!

Does your iTunes not come up? If not, when you connect it, open iTunes, then go to the device, NOT the music/video, etc. go to it, and look at the boxes. There's boxes on what to do when connected, as in:
Open iTunes when iPod is connected.
Manually manage songs and videos, and so on.

If not, take a screeny of your problem or something.

Software hander? Where/what is that? Slightly vague.

My iPod is not broken: it has worked before.

Well, my iTunes doesn't come up, as the computer doesn't seem to detect my iPod even being in there.

I have also tried multiple USB slots.

Maybe try to see if the cord is either not working or the slot where you hook it up to your iPod? I would tbh, say, just call them in and ask them =|

Hmmmm.... Well, sadly I do not own an ipod :'(, but, you could try:

Trying all the usb ports on your computer

Try a different computer (possibly all the ports)

If it isn't too expensive (I wouldn't know :'( ) maybe buy a new cord?

Call Apple or go to the website www.apple.com I believe it is and ask them

This is what I think the scenario is, correct me if I'm wrong:
Your Ipod works fine, but when you plug it into a computer absolutely nothing happens. You have tried multiple USB ports.

I doubt its a software problem since nothing pops up. The computer works fine and the Ipod is working. So this suggest that it would be a problem with your cable connecting your Ipod to the computer. Try another cable

Most likely your USB cable has fried, no worries you can get one for 20$ at Walmart.
