How do you deal with depression ?

Well everyone deals with depression a certain way . I deal with it by doing something to better myself , like for instance , exercising in some way .
Post how you deal with depression .

 

I usually find things to do with friends, mudding and off roading usually helps..

Sometimes I drink with friends if its available..

Or ill just talk to people all day..

EDIT: Like swan said, its not really depression.. more of situational depression; which is a lot different than clinical depression. Everybody experiences situational depression.

 

I don't get so much depressed as bored, so to say.

I don't get negative feelings about life or anything like that, I just get bored with the things around me, so I usually just play games or watch anime.

I don't get depressed but if I did, I'd do anything to keep my mind of it (Going out with people, Xbox Live, TV)

I used to be depressed every day.

I start talking to people, play some video games where i kill people (lol) and it usually helps.

 

I eat and play video games, also It helps to spend time with my girlfriend. She always makes me smile.

 

Well if you get to know me, you would usually say I'm a pretty upbeat person. I usually don't let things get in the way of my thinking, or anything else I do. I try not to let it affect me. I usually don't stay angry for long, and it's hard to get me pissed off. I'm a pacifist, so I hate violence. I have never gotten into a fight in my life. Usually music gets me out of anything I'm dealing with. I have some pretty hardcore music, that will send shivers down your spine if you listen to the lyrics. I love music like that, and I'm a big music enthusiast.

Music, or video games are usually the way I get out my anger. I'm a really competitive person, but I don't play sports, so I have to get that anger out somehow, and usually the competition of video gaming, helps me with that.

 

Make a goal, something that will make you feel important.

And accomplish that goal no matter what.

 

i play the piano, lay down, watch some tv, etc.

 

I run. I just run. Run till, I can feel that raw feeling in your throat. Better tahn cutting myself >.>
I never got why people do that. Running's one of the few things that doesn't make me depressed, everything else, TV, radio does. Oh and singing Marine Cadences and planning, planning my lies, my methods to get back at people, planning how I'm going to go about my day are things I do to deal with it. And think of violence...
