Don't take any offense to this, (I know it's your first) but it is terrible.. You have brushes (possibly a C4D covered up) and a render which you blurred, used a font that doesn't go with it, and made it random. The colors in the render do not go with the background, and are not contained in the background, thus ruining it.

You need to follow some tutorials before you can go ahead and make it by yourself, in my opinion, you need a lot of practice. Use a text that can actually fit in with it, and when using a movie render, if you cannot come up with a text, use one on the cover of the movie. Use colors, effects, not something that takes 3 minutes. Don't be a brush whore, take your time. My 1st REAL ps work took me around 5 hours, because I had so much to learn, and wanted to include everything.

Here is just the top links in google, but are useful:

Sorry if I was a bit harsh, but the best way (told to me by one of the best) is to criticize someone until they get great.

    OK here are my $.02

First, your background doesn't really add depth to the render like it should. I find tweaking the layer styles sometimes helps. Also if you add a dark grey layer and paint around the render with a lighter grey and set that under your background, with the right layer styles it can looks pretty cool.

Second, try not to blur your render unless the sig calls for it. Example, it appears to be in motion

Third, try to blend the render by smudging some or using brushes.

1- the tag appears to be flat
2- there is no lighting source
3- the colors don't match the render(try using the color picker)

Overrated render, text sucks and you didn't attempt to blend it into the background.

I like it for your first try! I mean it could use A LOT of work but none of that you should be able to do right now. The only thing I suggest you do to it is get rid of the blur on the render. It hurts the eyes, you know;]

    Very nice first try!
