    Adding a Sythe.org Chat Room

Hello, I just have a small suggestion.

Sythe has became a very active forum. Personally I think Sythe could use a Chat Room. There would be a link on the home page. And anyone on could chat with their username to other users ( instantly ) ALSO, People could talk not only publicly, But in private instant messages. THIS WAY people who do not have MSN or any other way to communicate for deals could do it right here on Sythe :p , They could chat about whatever need be Runescape or Not.

I think adding this would just bring all of us here at Sythe closer as a community, And it definitely would not be hard to add :p

Would take away from the posting on the forum, i saw it happen on another site. It was so distracting everyone used the chat box, instead of the actual forums.

    So bad idea

Er, how would that be when all the chat box's i see are public ones.

Its not hard to set up a msn, and you dont have to download msn messanger to use it.

    It's called the IRC.

This site has too many users aged less than two, a Chat Room would just be a massive spam hole with barbaric animals fighting over who has the biggest penis / muscles / RuneScape Account.

Basically what he said. Go to the IRC Lounge if you want more information. READ the rules first though.

you have to see what he is getting at I am sure a few of the programmers could make a little make shift chatroom something like the irc or yahoo chatrooms and not make it have to be a box, I believe what he is getting at is it will make it safer for trades because you could do the whole trade conversation there and then you would not have to worry if someone says oh well that wasn't me, because you will have some actual proof.

Do you realise how ignorant you sound?

I don't think Sythe/Matthew would be willing to install a shoutbox mod of sorts on the forum. It isn't necessary, and chat can be done in the IRC. Although, I would like it as well, it wouldn't be good for Sythe. The idiots of Sythe aren't on the IRC because they don't know how to get on. If you add a shoutbox in plain sight, the idiots will flood it... I'd say it's Matthew/Sythe's decision if we were to get one or not.

Perhaps giving this suggestion a shot. Yes, we have an IRC, but it's always the same group of people in there >_>.

If this does get added, add an option to disable the shoutbox for people who don't want to use it. If it doesn't work out, it can always be removed.

Let's face it, the IRC does not welcome new users. You're bound to get flamed/abused if you have never been on the IRC before.
