Honest to god Free Membership. No links.

Tracfone is a pay-as-you-go phone. It has no monthly bills and what you do is you buy prepaid cards to get minutes (or units) as you go, and taht is what allows you to call people and send texts and stuffs.

I have one and it's ok..the only downside is you have to constantly buy minutes, which ends up adding up to a lot of money.

Texting will EAT away at your minutes. You pretty much lose .6 units everytime you use text because it takes .3 to send and .3 to open texts.

My guess is that he is saying you don't pay 9.99$ worth of units, but just the amount for a reg. text buying membership with tracfone..

I donno, never tried it.

This is not actually 'free membership'

1) You Have to pay for units
2) You still pay for the text
3) The units eat away quickly this can mean that you lose more then u get

Its just cheaper membership, not really free. So its still handy, but you can't do it in Australia .

 

I have a TracFone and a regular cell. It doesn't work.

 

Lol when I say texting eats your minutes, I mean that you'll just be texting and texting and your minutes go down.

I guess what I meant is, if you are a texter, don't get a Tracfone.

 

I made it easier to understand...

1. Go to a retail store (Wal-Mart, Target, etc.)
2. Buy a Trac Phone ($20 phones that need prepaid cards)
3. Text RS to 64337 (Should cost $9.99 on a regular SMS message)
4. Since you are using a Untracable phone, without a contract, you are not charged the $9.99, just the .5 minutes per text.
5. Enjoy free membership! =)

 

i highly doubt this works, and i haven't been on rs for a while but don't you need a fone service to buy a pin?

TracPhones are available for pretty cheap at Walmart. Just buy the card and text away. A lot of drug dealers use them because they don't need registration and you can get rid of them very quickly and easily.

 

the only way that this is really useful is if you either already have a Tracphone or you get it and it workd and you buy like 5 or so months.

This is in no way free. You still pay for the 2.50 minutes even if you already do have a tracfone.

And if you don't, you have to buy the tracfone AND the minutes, so thats what at least 10-20 bucks ?

It would only be remotely close to being free if you already have a tracfone.

Hence, you should have named the post something like "Rs membership cheaper using Tracfone!" or something.

 

it UK it doesnt work. i pay mems thru "trackphone" (its called payasyougo here) and i still have to pay for rs mems and the amount it costs to send a text message

 

This seems like it would work but more than likely won't.
