A friend has been banned

The majority of Sythe are either unemployed, students, or working for <$20k a year. He can probably earn $200k annually promoting legit stuff, posting youtube vids and streaming lol, he had over 400k subs... Can hardly compare imo :/ thats like saying 'who on sythe wouldnt scam $$$ for a quick buck'.

 

For your information I quit my studies to continue working at the local pet store making over 25k USD a year. Get your facts straight yo.

 

Given his income, and taking a quick payment for a 2 minute video, in that situation he would be forfeiting his career for the sponsorship. The first sponsorship paid him mid 30k's, he lost zero subs and subsequent videos had similar views. I would be willing to bet that the same pattern continues harming his future income in a very limited way.

Sponsoring stake does not relate to scamming $$$ for a quick buck. He took a monetary payment to sponsor a business, just like Sythe does with the banner ad directly below this post.

It is easy to pass judgement on others when you are not the one receiving a 50k+ offer for a 2 minute sponsorship.

He made a video after he got banned and he does not seem to bothered. It's actually worked out good for him, he made a bunch of cash, pleaded with his fans for forgiveness and a fresh start and now will have lot's of opportunity to make new content as he has no accounts.

 

Maybe "A Friend" is a marketing genius, and this all was by design.

 

He killed his career for a quick buck, just like someone who scamquits. He's banned in-game, gets heavily disliked and is a joke from now on. I can judge him as an idiot for going down this greed fuelled route because i'm 100% certain he's already living extremely comfortably, not needing this extra income, and i'm also 100% sure that stake.com made back multiples of what they paid him, off of his impressionable fans.

Sythe is a black market, youtube is full of kids. That's like saying advertising porn on facebook is okay because they do it on pornhub.

 

Your analogy to pornhub and facebook make no relation, as one is a social media family site and the other for Porn. The majority of the redirects from that banner ad stake has on here come from guests, not members on here daily like you and I.

Regarding his Youtube channel, it markets to a gaming based fan-base, just like Sythe. A Friend has been accumilating his fanbase for 10 years, the majority of them are not young teenagers like you are eluding too. In fact, the average old school runescape playerbase is from pre-2007 era, of which most are in their 20s.

 

Anyways, I digress. The point of my post was to point out that I would suck Thor off for $50k.

 

Youtube is a video sharing social media site, here we discuss GAMBLING, black market activity and various other niches. Thus, it's a completely relevant analogy and it seems you've ran out of argument zoning in on one semi relevant thing I said.

I never was arguing with you in the first place, just making an opinion based statement. You took it to the next level, and took it personally for some reason. I don't like to argue with actual Sythe market members that contribute to the community as it is completely non-productive.

One thing I am sure we will agree on, is that he is obviously an intelligent person and should have been able to see this outcome from a mile away especially with the two recent events prior, and made the decision if he was okay with that outcome prior.

I'm glad someone other realizes that people will watch him regardless and that this will benefit him as he will be forced into creating high quality content again. Literally he could post an advertisement in every video, people will go down to the comments and complain, but they will STILL WATCH THE VIDEO. People are so indecisive, they hate someone but will continue supporting him by watching his videos lol

 

He kind of deserves the ban. He compared the Duel Arena to Stake.com - Jagex had every right to ban.

 

id like to point out that a underage person losing billions at the duel arena is not even considered gambling because gp in the eyes of jagex has 0 real world value. the only reason gp has real life value is simply because people are willing to pay for runescape coins. bonds just give you a 14 day membership or name change thats what you pay for. its optional to sell to the g.e but bonds could cost 0 gp if nobody wanted to buy them. also sub only giveways dont hold up as gambling. ur paying for subscribing to that person. if you win a give away is just a chance. its unfair streamers to this, but as for now its a grey area after jagex message yesterday they will probably soon clarify what or if they will do smt about it i agree its sketchy. also yes youtubers are in full control of their future but not their content jagex can copy strike any youtube account that uploads runescape content just because its their fucking game. just as jagex is in full control of their game and can ban anyone for whatever reason or NO reason at all! its not ur account its still jagex their property. and about ur last part a friend is lucky as fuck they did not blacklist his ass because that would mean he loses his rs audience. making him go to a normal paid job. he just didnt enjoy the game anymore after dying to deranged archologist on his fist hcim, thats why he started accepting donations and accepted gambling sponsorship. so he would still make a lot of money without playing rs. he just got scared as fuck seeing he lost his future. and fuck that thurgo ass looking gf of him.
