Too true :D but it was hilarious, and i don't know exactly what he meant by that, but what that makes me think is how almost the entire world has a religion, most of them with a god or many gods. What i mean is that almost all of the world is on our side, theism, so doesn't that mean anything? By all means that isn't supposed to be my only argument, but don't you think alot of us religious people have thought about this and yet we still believe? It just seems odd that almost all of the world is being 'ignorant'.

I have no idea what you are trying to say here. The statement itself is full of grammatical errors.
This is false. A simple google search will show you multiple examples of "non-physical" evidence of spirituality.

This analogy makes no sense. Care to elaborate on it's meaning?

Firstly, I never "assumed" or for that matter "stated" that spiritual beings or "reactions" exist, I simply stated that we are unaware of whether they exist or not. It is an "unknown unknown." Furthermore, our brain RELIES on our five sense to gather information. Therefore, we can only gather information about a certain situation based on the limits of our senses.

For example, if we are in an unlit room, where it is pitch black, we are unable to define the surroundings of the room because our sense of sight has been limited. Simultaneously, one could not assert whether a singer's voice is beautiful or not if one is unable to hear the singer. As I said, we gather our information from our sense. We are limited by our senses (or by the limits of our senses). Thus when someone dies, the only thing we can confirm is that their body rots. However, we cannot claim that "nothing else happens" for the reasons I stated in my previous posts.

I do not see how this adds to your argument. Logic and Reason is built off of observations one makes. We use our five senses to make these observations. Our senses is what provides us this "physical evidence" which our brain then interperts. So how you can come to a "logical" and "reasonable" conclusion without your senses is beyond me.

What's your opinion on when you die?

If it doesn't exist, there will be no evidence suggesting it doesn't exist. Only theories and contradictions can be used to disprove it.

Yes, and a simple google search will also show you evidence that the Quran is true and the Bible is false. Another simple google search will you show that Scientology is the truth. A third simple google search will show you that 9/11 was caused by the american government, and a 4th simple google search will show you that the 9/11 conspiracy is a load of bullshit.

Long story short; the internet is full of bullshit. Only trust the word of scientists whom has empirically documented it.

When ideas such as Heaven, Hell, spirituality, souls, God, gods, etc, was considered the ultimate truth amongst 99.9% of the worlds population, people were primitive with primitive minds. Today we are a whole lot more advanced, as we have discovered all of the elements, we have discovered hundreds of distant planets, we have discovered how our world REALLY came to be, how life REALLY originated and we have teenagers building particle-accelerators in their parents basements. If you asked a farmer around 50BC what he knew about particle accelerators, chances are the imbecile wouldn't even know the meaning of the word "accelerate".

Had you read my post carefully, you would know that I said that you assumed that was a CHANCE that it might exist, which you're clearly defending here.

What is 3 times 34? 102. Math is logic and reasoning on an abstract plan that our senses can't reach. (Unless if we use physical objects to calculate with, but that isn't necessary thus redundant.)

Just because the majority believe in it doesn't make i true. In the 1500's everyone in Europe believed in witchcraft and all women who could be vaguely suspected to be a witch were killed in horrible rituals. Do you find this acceptable because they all believed in it?

It is not my only reason for belief, but it definitely supports a great deal.

What's your opinion on when you die?

I believe, that what happens when you die, is what you believe in... I believe that after death is a state of mind.

If you believe you will rot in the ground; you will, if you believe you will ascend to heaven; you will.

What's your opinion on when you die?

"the actual body is transported magically to heaven as described in the "Left Behind" books. For others, your "soul" floats out of the body and makes it way to St. Peter. And so on. People make up anything they like, because heaven is a completely imaginary place"

im not a fool. im speaking of peoples stupid believes. even the notion of a soul is a complete joke.

"We imagine that we have "souls," fabricate the concept of "eternal life" and then fantasize a place called "heaven," complete with streets of gold, calorie-free foods, frolicking virgins and whatever else we can come up with. Christians imagine it so vividly and repeat the fantasy so often that they actually believe it to be reality.

How bizarre can the fantasies get? Fly to Cairo and take a look at the Great Pyramid. There is the pyramid itself -- still one of the largest man-made objects on earth. In addition there is the whole mummification process, the disassembled boats, the sacred artwork and so on. All of this was designed to help the pharaoh reach the afterlife. We look at it now and we all know, with absolute certainty, that it was a complete and total waste of time. The Egyptian notion of the afterlife was a fantasy.

The Christian notion of the afterlife is a fantasy in exactly the same way. Heaven is completely imaginary, just like God."

human body is nothing but a set of chemical reactions. The chemical reactions powering a human life are no different from the reactions powering the life of a bacterium, a mosquito, a mouse, a dog or a chimp. When a human being dies, the chemical reactions stop. There is no "soul" mixed in with the chemicals, just like there is no soul in a bacterium, a mosquito, a mouse, a dog or a chimp. Why would there be an afterlife for the chemicals that make up a human body?

The whole notion of your "soul" is completely imaginary. The concept of a "soul" has been invented by religion because many people have trouble facing their own mortality. It makes people feel better, but the concept is a complete fabrication.

It is when you think about the chemical reactions powering your life and your brain that you realize how completely imaginary your "soul" truly is. And at that point, everything about religion comes unraveled.

Your response just tells you have no arguement, that you believe in god for no reason of your own.

Also, if you want to keep making these childish posts in the SFA thread dont be suprised if you get banned.

The Bible doesn't mention the concept of souls. That's a Greek idea.

What's your opinion on when you die?

Well.. for a while I always thought that I would just come back to life and have to run back to where I died before anybody took what I dropped, but as of recent, I have been informed this is not the case and that my friends have to pray to keep my tombstone intact (so noone can take my stuff.. which is kinda cool)...
