Scam: Attempting to shake me down for 40m
Description: Agree'd to do mage arena 2 service for 12m and some change, payment was agree'd to be left on account. I logged into account and took screenshots of bank value (as i always do to protect myself from shit like this), had him confirm it on discord, he did. Bank was 23 odd mil. Went to bed, woke up this morning and did service within an hour, he didn't even have enough cash to fully pay me i think it was like 11.6m but i said w/e for an hours worth of work the dude seems nice im not gona pest him for 600k. I transfer payment, take a final screenshot of bank value and logout. bout 20 mins later he starts saying "wheres all my bandos bro" and "you took 40m im reporting you" shit like that. Can provide screenshots of entire convo on discord + him confirming his bank was ~23m or whatever. I'll post some screenshots but if you need anything else lmk and i'll post. He also left this bogus vouch.

First thing, the payment was 12.3m total. He said he was going to buy the gear with that money then sell it back and send me screenshots. I only received the 2 ahrims piece screenshots. I did not receive any selling of items or any runes or other gear needed bought.

In the chat I never confirmed my bank value, all I saw was the cash stack I left for payment+gear and I didn't think twice because I didn't see my items tab and continued the conversation about him being able to sell my DH set for gear if he needed the payment before he was doing the service. (why would I tell him to sell gear to afford supplies if I didn't leave any gear on my account) NOR did Ricky ever tell me to trade my valuables off my account.

First thing you see is his discord and price for services, which I added him and then left payment on the account (per his request). There are no TOS clearly visible, which obviously I didn't see in the first place, nor did he ask me to post on the thread or read his TOS. He simply asked what gear I had and gave my a price for his services on discord.

Compared to the items I had in the bank (when he asked for what gear I had.. not sure why he would need to know in the first place) all of my bandos bossing armor was missing, imbued rings (ring of suffering had 1k recoils in it, why would I uncharge and xfer) and all my placeholders were released for those items. This was done before Ricky's bank value confirmation was even sent to me.

 

@Ricky114EL1T3 Did you warn this user to remove excess wealth from the account before servicing it?

2. I am not responsible for any bans/mutes on the account during service as i hand-train accounts and play with all forms of chat turned off.

3.You MUST change your password BEFORE AND AFTER the service is completed.

4. I am not responsible for ANY loss of wealth on the account so only supply the account with what is required for the service.

5. Once service has begun, it may not be canceled or ended with request of refund. If you would no longer like the service, i can stop but you WILL NOT be refunded.

You can very clearly see at the top of screenshot with your bank value how much the total of your bank is worth lol. Isn't it convenient how you waited what? ~12 odd hours to say "hey wait that screenshot isnt right" ... ? This is the worst attempt at a scam i've ever seen lmfao.

My ToS CLEARLY states to xfer wealth, as well as change your password before and after and other things to help protect myself in cases such as this one. I've done ~50+ services total, with anywhere from 100k on account to 170m and nothing was ever reported missing because i take precautions to protect myself. It's very clear to at least me and hopefully everyone else that when the service started you had no more than 24m (As shown in screenshots i provided you ~12 hours before you claim 40m is missing). I donated VIA rsgp and IIRC it was ~90m? 07 gp to get my rank. Wouldn't piss it away for 40m. That's beside the point

Pretty sad that you're now claiming its my fault for not shoving my ToS down your throat multiple times. I was under the assumption having it my thread (where you find me from) is more than enough. I did not know i would have to baby what i'm assuming is a grown man since you claim to have an IRL job and treat him like a child. I could possibly understand your POV if you were refered to me by a friend and never went to my thread, but you're clearly stating "I FOUND RICKY VIA HIS THREAD" and my ToS ARE clearly stated in my thread WHICH YOU JUST SAID YOU VISITED. Can you please send a screenshot including time & date to show what you're claiming you had before i began please? The only "Screenshot" you provided of the "Gear you lost" was a screenshot with no RSN, no time/date, just a very generic zoomed in screenshot of some items.

Also there is no "Compared to the items i had in bank" because you have yet to prove anything... These are all bogus claims that you have no evidence to support.

Strange how in "your screenshot of gear" it's all melee gear but you're ordering a magic based minigame?... Hmmm... Strange! It's almost like if you were buying a magic based minigame, you'd pregear your account accordingly! Not leave "bandos gwd bossing gear" on account.

If you are claiming "This was done before rickys bank value confirmation was even sent to me." WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING ~12 HOURS AGO? Why did you wait until service was completed to all of a sudden "notice 40m missing". Again this plays on my point of you saying "I DIDNT SEE THE TOS! HE DIDN'T TELL ME DIRECTLY!".

As i've stated, this isn't my first time around the block. I frequent the report a scammer section and see all the pathetic attempts of people such as this user trying to milk service providers thinking it's a quick cash grab and its pathetic.

I DID NOT directly mention this to the user, if the mod in charge of this case deems that as a fault on my end, i accept 100% responsibility. I will not make excuse or try to argue it.
The user has clearly stated in his reply that he found me via my minigames thread. My minigames thread has my ToS written in english, in large text, with a disclaimer saying "If you add me on discord/dm me on sythe for these services you are agreeing to them". I had assumed this was enough to keep me safe against things like this, but as i said if the mod in charge of handling this deems it not enough, i fully accept responsibility and will not further argue my point.
I sent a very clear screenshot with time + date + users rsn + bank value to user and he acknowledged the picture and didn't say anything was missing.
This user has 0 proof of any items he claims are missing other than a generic looking screenshot of a zoomed in bank tab photo with NO RSN, NO TIME/DATE, nothing to prove it's not only the same account i was on but taken anytime recently.
I attempt to take all steps necessary to keep myself safe, such as taking screenshots of bank value and confirming with customer before service, and taking screenshot after. I made sure my ToS keep me as safe as possible. I waited until the user said it was okay for me to login his account to do a bank check (Can see screenshots in my post) He says "Okay sure" at 10:47? PM, 37? seconds later (as seen in runelite client @ the report button) and you can see time/date says 10:47 PM. This was the first time i had logged into the account and within a minute i sent a photo of bank wealth. There is no way i could of transfered all his gear in 30 seconds and still taken a screenshot of his bank value.



Again i'd like to state one more time, if whichever mod deems me responsible for not warning the user DIRECTLY about transfering wealth i will accept responsibility as it would of been a fault on my part.

If part of the mods judgement is a "refund of items missing" I'd like to request proof of whats missing other than this "40m" bullshit number that the user pulled out of his ass.

 

I didnt say anything because it was almost midnight and I work 14 hours/day and was very tired. All I thought you were showing me was the payment in the bank, which I saw. I didn't notice you had taken the gear out of my gear tab lowering my bank value.

And if I were to have noticed that you had done that, we would be in the same situation we are in now, where you would have instantly reported me as soon as I messaged you on discord.

I'm not scamming you for anything. I'm not asking for anything or trying to recover my lost items, all I'm doing is reporting you for using your rep to take advantage of a newer forum user and being able to get away with stealing gear off an account.

I was only posting this part because someone else had asked you in this thread. Even if you did not ask me to, just because I didnt remove wealth doesn't mean it's OK to steal it because I violated your TOS.

Compare the two screenshots... there's the exactly the amount of darts, bolts, food, bones to peaches tabs, and the items are exactly as they were placed in the picture before. If you're claiming it can be a random screenshot of a random bank.. really?




I don't want to argue anymore with OP, since he had premeditated this entire thing after I sent my gear tab.

To the mods, I'll say I didnt notice my total bank value tab due to the reasons above and that every other service I have purchased on this site I have not had a problem. I figured someone with vouches and rep would not try to exploit that reputation to steal from newcomers and belittle them into submission to get away with it.

In this screenshot (Where the items are supposedly missing) there are no bank placeholders? and now you magically learned how to take a semi proper screenshot (Still missing time/date) and include your rsn + tab value? Why wasn't the first screenshot taken in this manor? Why are there no longer bank placeholders on? If the first screenshot is infact your bank prior to service, what happened to the bring (I) and whip? you didn't claim i took them, so what? you transfered those off the account but nothing else? But wait? if you transfered a Bring (I) off the account, that means you'd have to do what? Oh yeah, unimbue it and lose the points which was your previous argument as to "why you wouldn't do it".

Also, if you'd like to change your story and claim "YOU STOLE THE BRING AND WHIP TOO1!!1" I'll do some rough calculations.

Now you're just reaching. I suggested if you can't prove the screenshot was taking by you/on the same account i was on, how is anyone to know forsure its the truth? Also, just to give your ridiculous statement a response, it is not impossible to buy the same amount of darts, bolts, food, btp tabs, and throw them in the tab where "Items went missing". But again; me asking for proof the screenshot was from yesterday ~10:40PM and on the same account i serviced =/= claiming the screenshot wasn't taken by you.



I will once again and finally request you provide screenshots with TIME/DATE/RUNESCAPE NAME VISABLE/BANK TAB OR OVERALL BANK VALUE to confirm what you are saying. I have screenshots to prove what i'm saying, you don't. Please provide your end of the argument and stop replying with these claims with lack of evidence to support them. Thanks.

Here's the entire tab, taken last Friday, so food supplies are obviously different because I did some bandos trips. Necklace of anguish was sold to afford gear, so that was not in my bank at all.

Guess it was 52.2m, hard to pricecheck items I don't have anymore 5 minutes after I login to discover they are missing.

This is supposedly your bank value. Just from a quick glance, this is no more than 25m? Theres no barrows, No dfs, No bgs, nothin. Those items just magically arrived into your bank 10 mins before you bought my service or? . . . So first it was 40m i stole. Then it was 52.5m. Now it's 25m? Jeeeez dude.

 

@nottherealdestr0y - As stickied on the service forums, you are to remove all excess wealth off of the account before being serviced. This report comes down to word versus word and we cannot verify either claim. @Ricky114EL1T3's terms are enough of a warning for you to remove the items. This has been resolved.
