Can you explain this one?

This is a pic of what my friend sees when he logs in. They said he leaked Merchant's guide when of course he completely rewrote the idea (and much better than Merchant ever did).



Apparently, from this ban message, Merchant in the Dark is Covey. If so, that explains why the mods have protected Merchant as long as they have.

Now of course you can (and probably eventually will) ban this name and delete this post, but it would be nice if you answered the questions first:

Is Merchant in the Dark also Covey (to go along with Merchant's many other names that keep trying to resell versions of his guide)?

Why are you protecting a scammer? The boy sold several thousand dollars worth of this guide, which was an idea he stole from Trevor on Sal's forum (yes, "stole" is the word---Trevor posted a guide on Sal's that included the idea Merchant's guide is based on-----long before Merchant's guide was ever offered over here).

Merchant charged $30 to $50 for the guide. People paid that kind of dough because Merchant promised to only sell ten (10) copies of it.

He sold more than 10 copies. Maybe more than 100 copies. It doesn't take a genius at math to know that he raked in several thousand dollars on the promise that only a few people would own the supposed secret ---- when in fact, he sold it to many many more, on the forum and in private.

That's called scamming, breach of promise, or whatever else the legal eagles would tag it with. It's also against the law. If he sold $5,000 or more worth (and it would be easy to subpoena Paypal and his bank to find out), he's guilty of racketeering, which is automatic prison time.

Yet you keep defending him. That makes you an accomplice. Don't feed me the bullshit copout that you have a disclaimer that whatever is posted on your site isn't your responsibility. It is. Check the most recent court decisions. You're responsible for policing your site.

I'm sure this will eventually be deleted, and this username will eventually be banned. I"m also sure thatCovey/Merchant/ten-others-on-new-accounts who are supposedly is gone from the internet for personal reasons (I doubt he's gone---that's a nice convenient copout to get away from the heat he'd take for lying about only selling 10 copies---the anonymity of a new account is sure convenient) will keep making more usernames to try to sell his guide a few more times (it's laughable at how bald and obvious these attempts are).

I doubt he should be banned.. but should be temp banned for a long time
