Duel Arena update is tomorrow

So, how are we all killing ourselves? My method of choice will be poisoning myself due to how relatable it is and how much it means to me considering I fucking lose to poison every stake!

It's only a tax update? No stat changing? ie; a level 3 can set stats to max stats for staking?

 

Only a tax for now. I believe they toyed around with the idea of having level 3s turn into max mains, but the community was not for it.

 

Anal rape for the high rollers that like to session large stakes. Imagine doing hundreds of stakes that are 500m,1b,2b+. That tax will sneak up on you like a mother fucker. Every 1b stake is 10m, imagine doing 100 of those stakes and its 50/50. you end up even but because of the tax there goes 1b ;P

I will chose to die by 'wide butthole' syndrome because runescape always finds a way to screw the community in the ass.

Absolutely, good for the longevity and economy. So much cash will be removed from the game through this. Ofc a lot of prices of items will crash at the beginning and people who stake a lot will be pissed off, but in the long run it’ll be better

 

I know its crazy. But its such a benefit for jagex. The players that gamble don't buy membership anyways, they just purchase bonds. And i'm sure they lose business to people getting cleaned and then quitting. So IF less people gamble now they retain more paying customers. And also thers a money sink which benefits the economy to combat stupid updates that dump gold into the game. Just funny how they pretend that the reason is that they have a problem with odd stakers, its a front for the real problem of people quitting after the arena. Or they are jaded that people are making money off their game, lol

 

First off, someone has to buy those bonds from jagex in order for them to be redeemed. Which is amazing buiseness for jagex. As a stalker when I would get rich, I would invest like 100m to buy a years worth of membership up front. So if anything they are making money.
Second off, who the fuck stakes xers these days. You must be full tilt, and idiot or impatient. I’ve done over 10k stakes ranging from 10m-3b during peak and off hours and never really had a problem finding a legit stake. Yes you may have to wait 20-30 mins but honestly it’s not bad. I feel sorry for who ever stakes xers

 

Good riddance to those 10 people who would challenge you on your pure or mid EXPECTING you to accept their X every time you went to arena, then call you names when you refuse their shitty stake in hopes that aggravates you into accepting terrible odds.

 

Honestly idk where you guys are coming from thinking a 1% tax will get rid of xers. They x for like 5-10% and it’s still 50/50 for them. They making to much money that 1% isn’t much for them. They’ll be even more in demand now that high rolling stakers will not be staking as much just saying
