    Tr1gg4s Guide to using UKASH

UKASH is a European method of PayByCash; it isn’t widespread and is pretty neat. Transactions are almost instant (well…. When I say instant I mean if their offices are open), but to this day I have had completed UKASH purchases on the spot.

It’s a pretty neat way for paying for stuff on online games, especially those Korean Grind Feasts with Cash Shops. Ijji and GPotato are two of hundreds of companies that may accept UKASH. Primarily payments can only be tracked to location rather than a single person, so its pretty great if you want your identity hidden. Also, you pay by cash… as the tin reads, so no cards required; good if you can’t be asked or simple want less hassle (ie mug someone and pay for your memberships rather then getting bludgeoned with questions for where the money came from).

After spending your coupon online, you receive a code which is worth the CHANGE you receive from the transaction. Say you have £60 and buy something for £9, at the end you will need to right down the new code and it is new value.

For this to work… you HAVE to be in Europe. I am in the UK so steps MAY be different… but the concept is very similar wherever you are.

First… get to yourself to http://www.ukash.com/ and introduce yourself to the system.

I prefer paying by PayPoint as it is easier to work with… no fixed values but any value from £5 to £499.00 – very fluid so its good. Go and print your voucher here: Voucher.

Now that you have yourself a coupon, go find a store with a PayPoint sign:

You need to present this to the shopkeeper when you want to buy a UKASH voucher. He will scan the barcode and you tell him how much you want. You should get a receipt With a Number down the bottom usually starting with 63371800***********.

For safety precautions, ask the shop keeper to staple the voucher to your giant coupon, and fold it back up.

Get back to your computer and visit the website that has the paybycash option.
For this example I will use Runescape.
First Log in to your personal account and go to the membership subscription page. Select Runescape.

    Select PayByCash

Select how long membership for Runescape.

Now scroll Down until you come across UKASH and select the value. Click Next
Note: A charge always needs to be paid.. its small and I have never been awar of one bigger than £0.10.
Note: For foreign currencies, always buy around £1 more than you need.

    Here Input your Details.
Use a REAL email address; but I can’t advise about the others – although personally I would keep everything real in case something goes wrong so you can speak with customer support with minimal hassle.

    Input Voucher Code and Value

Now the next screen should say payment successful, and you must select the box that says send receipt to email. In any case… note down the change code and value, and keep it in a safe position.

Wallah! You have x months of membership.

Eh… Tr1gg… What the hell do I do with this change?
Easy! Go to the UKASH website, and select the necessary option from the Tools menu.

In this case, ‘combine your UKASH voucher’. Along with your new voucher/left overs, make a single new voucher for ease of use.

You can also Split the UKASH voucher into separate amounts, so you buy £50 in the shops, split it into chunks and sell to other people online for game items like in Runescape, give them the code and link to this guide, for an item to trade in game.

That’s it basically. Thanks for reading and I hope you will use this guide as a means of enlightment in understanding a useful PayByCash method. I myself may be selling memberships in the Membership area of the forum soon, so please pop in and deal!
