    a question for the guys.

A few days ago when i went camping, i woke up to the distinct feeling of a sore right testicle. I have no recolection of hitting them at all the night before, anyway this lasted 2 days then went away.

I woke up this morning, over a week later, with a saw right nut again. So anyway i was wondering if anyone else wakes up with sore a sore nut/nuts for no reason?

    a question for the guys.

    It could be Testicular Cancer.

    Edit:

Occasionally over the last two years, my right testicle becomes sore after sitting for long perions of time(hours). If standing for long periods of time (hour or so) I become sore in an area to the right of my penis(this developed in the last three months). Last November the soreness became more constant and it was treated like an infection(ultrasound revealed no cancer or torsion). The symptoms became persistant again in April and the general physician prescribed Naproxen and to see the Urologist. I see him in a few days. Obviously the Naproxen has run out and until recently was able to take the over-the-counter Naproxen to keep the pain down. It is, however, loosing its effectiveness. Are these symptoms consistent with an infection or some other non-cancer problem.
    Thanks!

    Dear Don
    Thanks for your questions.

Chronic testicular pain can have several etiologies. Very few men will have chronic pain after a vasectomy. A dilated vein of the cord can also cause pain. It is usually treated with the same medications you are taking now. Surgery is rarely needed. A cyst in the epididymis can also cause pain but again rarely needs surgery. A hernia as you mentioned or a passing a kidney stone can have referred pain to the testicle. A stone is more likely if there is microscopic red blood cells in the urine. Usually voiding symptoms accompany a stone with this pain distribution. Lastly, psychological referred pain is also seen in urological practice and usually has many contributing underlying stressors.
More individualized care is available at the Henry Ford Hospital and its urban campuses by calling (1 800 653 6568). We can also arrange local accommodations through this number if this is your need. Please bring any physicians’ notes and lab test results that you may be able to obtain. These will help us greatly.

    a question for the guys.

I doubt its cancer, i have no lumps, or any abnormalities with my testis. I have read about some causes of pain, tho the pain isnt chronic, so i doubt its anything serious, since they sound very painful.

What worries me is when i was young, like 10, my right nut got swollen and was painful to walk. I never told anyone cos of the embarassment of it all. tho it went away and has never happened since.

anyway il get em checked if it keeps getting sore for no reason.

Is it hanging lower? If it is, go for a physical, I don't know what it's called, but if you have that, you fail physical and can't play contact sports :(.

Err yeah i'd see the doctors or something, but i know doing that would be rather embarrassing expecially if everything was fine. But i've never had any trouble like that before so i don't think it can be classed as 'normal'.

It is very possibly an effect of puberty if you are under 21. Either that or some cancerous tissue is building around your right testicle. See a doctor for the best answer.

    a question for the guys.

its pretty much gone away now, Im not gunna bother about a physical just yet because the job im applying for they do a whole medical there, so no piont in going threw the embarassement twice.

And no its not hanging lower, swollen, got any lumps or anything, it looks and feels normal. i might have just slept on it lol.

Anyway il find out when i go for my medical if im all good, im pretty sure i am, just can be concerning.

If it only came once or twice its probably nothing major. If I were you I would only do something about it if it comes back, and comes often. Once very now and then is probably nothing; maybe you were laying on it whilst you slept, lol!

It's probably nothing, every now and then I get nut pains, nothing to worry about unless it really gets bad.
