Need help choosing a computer. I have 2 in mind.

I have a conundrum on my hands. I am looking at two laptops here, both by the same company (Gateway) and i'm not sure of which one to get.

So there are the specifications. I don't know which one to choose. I am mostly going to be using the laptop for games such as Warcraft3 or Battle Field 2. I will also be using the laptop for the internet and photoshop. I am in school (11th grade) so I need a laptop that will at least get me through college. These two came up to me as the perfect choice for me but I don't know if Pentium is better then Centrino. I also don't know if I need to have so much memory and speed for what I plan on using it for. My budget is about $600 but I want one of these that will last me a while. So, anyone care to help me out?

 

Those are good laptops. I would go with the second one the differences between then aren't going to be that noticeable.

But I wouldn't count on these laptops to play BF2 or any other gamers really...

 

To make a real choice, it'd help if you posted the clockspeed/model number for the processors.

 

I would go for the second one. Upgrading it to higher spec will probably be cheaper than getting the other.

 

I would choose the second just because it's good, cheaper, and the fact that I really don't need that good of a computer... but if you play games or anthything you need a better computer for then go with the first one. Either way it's a win-win, imo.
