bro if you are trying to get us onto your side, you sure arnt doing a great job.
you either support it or you dont and every comment from you puts you on either side of the fence. Tell the mum of a dead soldier 'hey your kids dead but we were blindly following orders and guess what we got some of dem old terrorists' does that make it worth it? you guys arnt taught to follow this crud blindly you are american soldiers ffs you are taught the difference between a gun and you brain so stop following and start thinking. This war is stupid and everyone from wellington to iraq knows it stupid

 

I support the army in general, it just annoys me when people bad mouth the civilians of Iraq and afghanistan because they dont like the troops there. Im not being funny but i have seen some pretty awful videos on youtube of the way the US troops treat the civilians out there.. It is no wonder they hate you. Things such as throwing flash bangs at a farmer as they drive past, Tricking children and scaring them pretending to through grenades at them, teaching them to sing "Bomb Iraq" and im sure some of you wil find it funny but after seeing all of this there is no wonder why they ant you out. There not being dis respectful or ungrateful they just dont like being treated as rag dolls.

 

I am overhelemed with the responses and have yet to read the last couple.

But lemme say this to what i have read:

The videos you see are fucking soldiers being stupid or some dumb ass BBC reporter who thinks they are exposing our "goals", and it isnt like that. yeah they may have killed the dog, but thats not what every soldier does. that was just some dumb ass private who wanted to be cool. My SSG told me that guy was reprimanded by the UCMJ and was put on lockdown for what he did, so its not like we just get away with shit like that, because the gov. doesnt put up with that.


Also, if you think i joined the Army just to go shoot people you are wrong. I am not in the Infantry, nor do i plan on it. I CHOSE my job, which is caled 25U, or in lamens terms: Signal Support Systems Specialist. I work on all of the networks and mainframes, handle Cisco systems, WEP, WLAN and anything IT. I also must know how to reprogram radios and reassemble/dissasemble them. My chances of actually getting shot at is like 10%, and NO thats not bullshit. My other SGT has the same job as me and has been in Iraq 3 times, but none of those times did his boots ever touch dust or dirt. He was in a bomb proof shelter working on the networks, JUST AS the job he chose called for.

I serve the country, to protect and defend. I dont make the choices the government takes, but i know that i will surely lay down my life so that my friends and family and all of America can sleep better at night. I dont ask for anything in return, i dont even care if they respect my decision to do so. I still do it

I support troops, in that they protect our country from violence and terrorist as well as other threats to the nation. I don't support troops fighting The War on Terror.

They are there fighting for us, despite some of our countrymen and their selfish, childing bitching about the was and the US policies. I love you guys, and what you do.

 

If you don't support violence, get rid of that disgusting signature + avatar, that game in your sig is probably based around violence, as is the avatar, things like Hitler are no laughing matter.

On topic: I support all troop fighting for a worthy cause, but often I do not support the people who lead them.

If it weren't for the US armed forces, we may well have been invaded by Japan during the world war (Though I'm still firm with my half-Australian half-Japanese style of living). Troops of the civilized nations are to protect their country, and so help me if I'm wrong I'll shit bricks.

I support you all, most are doing an excellent job. I have many friends in the army, I almost joined the Uk Royal Sigs 2 years ago, went through all the process but ditched out on the selection as I wanted a few more years enjoying the civvie life with my mates etc before I join. I will one day join though when we're all settling down. I will be looking to sign up for infantry next time not sigs... as I quit engineering and am taking a different career path.

US soldiers driving humvee's were ordered, under no circumstance, to slow down or stop in the event of a citizen in the middle of the road.

Troops follow orders.

I don't know what it means to "support the troops" if you don't support their unjustified invasions of other countries.

 

So basically you are calling every single soldier a complete and udder moron, you fight for something we never had and are willing to do something you know is wrong to do that.america has no freedom they say you can own your own house, but what happens if you don't pay tax's after you purchased it? it gets taken away, they say we have freedom of speach yet they did or are going to I don't really pay attention to it ban the word "******". So if you think the war is shit why go to war just to go over there and cause more problems your deluted thoughts of saving freedom or what ever is completely bull shit, all you are doing over there is causing more problems. An one more thing, if you say your fighting for our freedom then why are you in this war? This war is only bringing the us down in every way possible.
1. wasting too much money on this war making us sprint to being a 3rd world country.
2. pissing off other countries to where they will either go against us or stop trading with us, which ties in with number 1.
3. Needless violence and fatalities from both sides, the Iraq people simply want there land back what we are doing is no different than what we did to the indians when we came over to north america the first time.

That is where you are wrong, anyone who signed up while this war was and is going on knew and were fully aware they would eventually go to iraq.This isn't like back in wwII where they are drafting people in they CHOOSE to go into the war FULLY KNOWING THE OUTCOME.

They don't and are not really doing either, police protect us from violence, as it's suppose to be our army's cannot be used in our own nation (it's worded differently but I don't feel like looking for the exact words."
and for terrorism, what about canada, they havent had any terrorist attacks, and arn't out trying to be hard ass's , same with tons of other countries, an army should only be used for a "what if scenerio" as in what if another country attacks us, I don't believe having a army is wrong, it is very neccessary but we are using our army the wrong way and are abusing the people of the army.

You just said you don't support the people who lead them, but you support the troops, and believe there fighting for a worthy cause, if you don't support the people who lead them then it's obviously because you don't agree with the war which also means you don't believe there fighting the war is a worthy cause. and hitler is no different than bush other than hitler was smart and bush is a complete moron, they both had 1000's of people killed etc.

I do not support the war, since we are not even doing anything.

But i do support the people over there, since they are risking their lives, in order to do our governments dirty work.
