[DENIED] Set a time limit on home ip trade with cautions

You know why this will never become a thing @A Broken Man ... this has to be one of our worst suggestions in a while man... sythe welcomes new users and isn't going to ban people for not posting on home ip's, should someone trade them with a TWC and being a new account, they are silly so.. no support.

 

People are scum, I reported a ban evader yesterday and got a "not a home ip" description, it is luck of the draw bud. You win some, you lose some.

 

I don't get the "home Ip" thing. It's rather simple to use an infected pc as a Proxy, there's even services that allow it. These would be indistinguishable from a home ip.

 

The simple answer to this suggestion: It's a free market.

Good and bad are freely allowed to come here. The sooner you figure that out the more you'll understand why people stopped caring about the website and focused on profits. This place will always be filled with vaders. They keep things interesting. Plus sythe had a horrible reputation for kicking and banning everyone under Finn's, firez and n4n0's reigns. Sythe wanted to soften the image of sythe. They wanted to stop having endless texts of Banned users on every thread. I dont mind the changes tbh. It's gotten a lot of people paid and a lot of old users back.

 

What hattez said. On top of that there are workarounds just like getting on a VPN. I could log in from a shared wifi, from my gym's PC, from a neighbour's PC. Simply proving they can log in from a home IP doesn't really prove much. And forcing them to stay on a home IP would even be more ridiculous.

 

TWC’ing non-home IP users is already enough. I personally think it’s a waste of time and resources because there are many workarounds for that, but it’s for another discussion some other time.

No support from me. People can freely choose whom they want to trade with and if they can’t decide whether someone is safe to trade with or not (even with a TWC slapped on), that’s on them. Unfortunatey for *obvious* ban evaders not posting on Home IP’s - we still can’t go off of assumptions, therefore nothing we can do without solid proof.

 

No support, I think the only reason this can even be a question is the fact very little people pay attention to a twc and that to some people it is irrelevant. I hope people pay more attention to it as it does scream someone is vading but can’t do anything without proof.
