Detailed Oak Plank Guide

Recommended

• 250,000+ gold, 751,000 To do 1000 plank's at a time.
• Lightweight Equipment (boots of lightness and spotted/spottier cape)
• Level 15+ Woodcutting (useful for maximum profit)

Introduction
To start, you can chop down or buy them. If you plan to chop oak logs, take out your woodcutting axe and go to one of the areas in Varrock, where there are plenty of oak trees near the bank. After each load, simply deposit them and repeat until you get a decent amount of oak logs to convert into oak planks later on


Lumberyard & Saw Mill
The Lumberyard and Saw Mill is found just north-east of Varrock, by the pub near the wilderness. The Saw Mill, just below the Lumberyard, is used in the Construction skill. The Sawmill operator also sells saws, cloth and nails. He will also turn the logs you have cut/brought into planks (cost 250gp to make each oak plank, but you will find the profit is much larger than what you pay.)
Have all your gold in your backpack and rest will be oak's


Selling

When you have enough planks walk to the Grand Exchange ​

And sell all your plank's for max price.



( Cut 1000 logs = Free )
( Cost to buy 1000 logs = 27,000 )
( Cost to make into plank's = 250,000 )
( 1000 planks sold at grand exchange = 501,000 )

501,000 - 250,000 = 251,000 Profit.

Maybe you could include some other ways to change the logs faster, as with hot air balloons.

Planks don't sell for 500 each or close to it, not even at max.

 

He put good effort into it, plus oak planks used to be 500 gp each in grand exchange at the beginning. Am I correct anyone?

I think they are at about 470 max now.

 

It takes an hour or so to make 1k planks. And profit is low. But this is good for low lvls. And nicely done guide. (although there's lots of oak planks guide everywhere)
