Selling an account while not being the original owner

So, I have an account that a buddy of mine gave me before he passed away a couple of years ago....

According to what my buddy told me, he sold the account on Epicbot a long time ago...And then the person he sold it to contacted him and said that he was hacked/phished, and couldn't access the account...So, my buddy recovered the account for him, but was told that he wasn't going to play anymore...So he didn't have anything to do with the character any further....

So, my question....Can I sell the account while not being the original owner? I don't have the creation details, but the person who DOES passed away...

I realize that the buyer would be assuming 'moderate' risk, but I am just curious if this is even within the Sythe TOS.

If sale is not allowed, what are the rules on renting the account?

To my knowledge, you are allowed to sell the account, but you must clearly state that you are not the original owner, and that there will be little chance of a recovery if the account gets locked etc.
Many people sell accounts they've bought off playerauctions etc.

 

I wouldn't sell it. All it takes is the wrong person to come forward to buy the account, fake a recovery and get refunded. They'd get to keep the account and their money leaving you penniless.
