It's been a long time coming

Yes, after almost two years of modding and admining this forum, I have decided that it is time for me to resign. I am not active enough to be an admin, and I've thoroughly exhausted the "lengthy inactivity period" that I feel all admins are due. Though I'll still be around, posting sometimes, maybe coding some occasional autos and such, I do not plan to be staff any more, I am no longer ideal for the position of admin - I am too inactive, there is just too much going on in real life for me to dedicate enough time to helping maintain Sythe.org, and this is likely not going to change anytime in the near future. I have quite an eventful summer ahead.

I know that goodbye threads are usually seen as attention-whorish and such, but I have been staff here for two years, and in my mind, I am due this privelege. Please do not move or close this thread.

So, goodbyes:

Sythe: Thanks for admining me, and dealing with my constant requests for you to unblock IPs that were banned by your script. You made a good choice in admining me, at the risk of sounding immodest. Only, now, my "good admin" days are thoroughly expired. I like occasionally listening to your rather interesting takes on current events over MSN, so if you could keep me added, that'd be great. You are both a good owner to this site and friend to those of us priveleged enough to have you as an e-friend. Good luck with Uni, I have a feeling you'll succeed in whatever you seek to do.

Steph: You're right, it has been a good run for us. Thanks for modding me ~ 2 years ago. Who knew I'd make it this far? Sorry about constantly bothering you on AIM for the simplest requests, I just felt uncomfortable going against the staff code, however trivial it may have been. You've been a good admin for as long as I can remember, and my long-term memory extends to even before I was modded.

Clash: Great guy, good friend. I probably wouldn't have risen to global so quickly after being sectional if you hadn't suggested me as global to Steph. I liked chatting with you on MSN, and I'll still be on quite a bit, as I use my MSN for real-life conversations too. Wow... you, Steph and I are the three staff members (excluding Sythe) who have had the longest uninterrupted run as staff. I hate having to be the first of us to quit, but on the bright side - it's just you and Steph up there now

Jansen: We did not get off to a good start, remember? Though we seldom talk to each other these days, we've sure made amends in that respect. I like you, and enjoy reading your humorous posts. Keep it up.

Shinoda: We didn't get off to a good start either, remember? You are a smart, funny guy and a good friend. Stay around, on MSN at least.

Shredderbeam: You are intelligent and likable. It's fun talking to you on MSN. Good friend, good mod, and good sex.

stevenadrien2: We still tight, dawg. You and I should meet up one day and play the field together You're a good friend and I'm keeping you added on Facebook if you don't mind.

Pen: I regret that you and I aren't as close friends as we could have been. You're a good choice for admin, and though you were rash in your recent decisions, you will take this site far if you stick with it.

Matthew: Same with Pen, you and I really should have talked more than we did. You're a dedicated and capable admin and I hope that you continue to improve this site, something which you've proven to be very good at doing.

WoW Sucks: Great guy, funny, good friend, and fun to talk to. You and I should meet up one day, that'd be awesome.

Finniscool: See above. I haven't known you for as long as I've known most of the other people I've mentioned here, but you are pretty awesome. Keep in touch.

Eric: See above. And stop liking men Stay on MSN, fgt. <3

Josh/Joseph: I don't know if you're reading this, but I want you to know that I think you're a good person. You may have scammed in the past, but you turned yourself around and did an excellent job as a moderator. Had I been left with a choice, I wouldn't have banned you. <3

Shawn_: Thanks for the occassional advice and such. You can remove my access as an OP from #Sythe, I probably won't be on the IRC that much.

Fouisgras: It's a shame you were cut from the staff team like that. You were a good mod. You weren't nearly as inactive as I was, so I hope you are reinstated.

Daily: You were a good friend and it was fun working with you, both on this site, and on yours, and making our .EXE rickrolls. That was epic lulz. <3

x9: Remember when we used to mod the programming forums together? We've come a long way since then, and I hope that you contribute your leet Java and modding skills to this site as long as you stick with it.

Curt: Last but not least, you deserve a place here because back when you were staff you thought I was like, the best mod ever and such.

Don't be offended or alarmed if I haven't mentioned you, I've only given goodbyes to the people whom I can clearly remember merit them from me. I don't want to think of this as a permanent goodbye from the community, but a permanent (if not that, then very lengthy) end to my staff days. I'll still be on my MSN and AIM, to those of you who have either, as I use both for real-life friends as well as Sythe people.

Now, my last gift to the community before I resign: a picture of me... with a moustache! (Taken earlier today)
