    Learning how to Read Tablature

In this guide I will teach you how to read tablature (I will refer to it as TAB) & how to play a few basic songs.

Firstly this is what TAB looks like, and yes its ment to be like that

    |------------------|---------------------|-----------------------------|<----BOTTOM string
    |------------------|---------------------|-----------------------------|
    |------------------|---------------------|-----------------------------|
    |------------------|---------------------|-----------------------------|
    |------------------|---------------------|-----------------------------|
    |----0----3----5--|--0----3----6----5--|--0----3----5----3----0----0|<----TOP string

That is Smoke On The Water by Deep Purple ( the easiest song in the world to play)
To read that is really easy once you know how to and im about to teach you how.

The lines of --- are the strings and the numbers are what fret you play (you play the note to the LEFT of the fret bar and 0 means open aka just pluck the string). Now if none of that made sense heres a picture of a guitar.

Now notice that the frets are the little metal bars going up and down along the neck of a guitar. Thats all for now on reading TAB, all I can think of atm

    Playing a Guitar

To play a guitar is easy, to play a guitar well is hard. I consider myself an OK guitar player as I can play basic songs.
I can't really teach you how to play a guitar but I can teach you songs.

That is not teaching. It's showing. You're not teaching anything. You just got some Tabs off a website and put them on here.

    2/10.

I prefer making REAL music the hard way (With proper instruments). With techno, and all that you can just program a drum beat, set the tempo, record in a few licks on the keyboard/synthesiser and program them to match the tempo, and you're basically done.

With guitar, you actually have to learn how to play in time with music. Its like a whole new world.

don't know if you knew this, but you did iron man wrong, I don't know nor do I care about the rest, but that is the shitty way to play iron man no offence, and any guitarist will laugh at you and call you a idiot.I will make an extensive guitaring tut and post here. hopefully it will be better. as what the person above said that you are showing them pictures not giving them things they can build off of.
