[DENIED] Strict requirements for gift card market

Doing my daily browsing of gift cards, I've noticed a few sellers who use sythe to sell their "hacked" gift cards. There needs to be stricter rules to the forum such as e-gift certificates since all these gc sellers are only providing the "code". In case you haven't noticed, there are a few several "gift card crackers".

 

I completely agree, a simple way to fix this problem is to only allow Physical Gift Cards to be sold on the market. E-gift cards are too easy to fraud and most of the time it results in the buyer's amazon account to be frozen or the credit to be deducted.

 

E-gift certificates are fine if they are like from e-mail. 100% of all hacked GC's are just codes only. Plus, the only way to get e-gift certs is if you receive it in the e-mail.

 

Hasn't champ already told you there is no protection from these in the past?

 

People buy giftcards on the cheap knowing how they’ve been obtained, if users choose to ask how the cards have been obtained that’s their choice. We shouldn’t impose a rule that’d only hinder the market. To my knowledge minor blackhat activities are allowed as long as they don’t affect sythe users this to a certain degree doesn’t ?

 

Amazon emailed e gift cards arent safe. Have had them cbed before, also you have no chance to fight it in the case the person charges it back.

 

What I meant was that e-gift certs if from e-mail (picture) should be allowed in the marketplace.

 

Pretty sure this was suggested, like, one month ago. No support...

 

Uhm. Is it possible to verify that the AGC code is legit or not? If you can't verify. What's the point. It would be word against word.

I'm the oldest GC trader in the market remaining with roughly ~$10,000 in amazon bought over 3-4 years and around ~$4000 in other gc's.

You take the same risk buying amazon @ 70% that you do with a debit/credit transaction, amazon got rid of their balance checker feature so its impossible to check giftcards. Millions of dollars of amazon are bought/sold every day, 90% are e-whored or cracked, every seller and buyer on sythe "know" where their coming from, the only time I don't buy amazon is if their stupid enough to actually say they came from illegal places, buyers(myself) default assume the cards are legitimate, sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't, we don't know when we buy them. We pay the price in terms of a balance reversal if the cards aren't legitimate.
Nobody wants cracked or stolen stuff(myself included) as we do lose a lot of money, its up to the buyers and sellers to work that risk out, free market.

What happens to your Amazon account if a code you redeemed gets charged back or reversed?

There is a way to check the balance of e-gift certificate through amazon support and also know when it was purchased.

This suggestion has been denied. Regardless of the limitations we put on this market, they will always find new ways around them.

Also, this is a free market system. Making the rules stricter, will not benefit the one's who are already following the rules.
