Gold prices by end of summer..?

Surely not really as they'll still have the same margins

 

I honestly don’t see gold prices ever stabilizing or rising until they focus on the original reason all the gold comes into the game from nowhere (high alchemy).

I honestly doubt a 1% staking tax even touches the amount of gold high alching poofs into the game from thin air every day.

 

1% tax would take out like 1000's of % of what alching brings in lol

 

Right, it's a step in the right direction for sure, but I don't think anything stabalizes at a healthy point unless billions upon billions of gold arent poofed into the game for free while giving great afk/auto click xp, meaning everyone in the game does it.

 

Past few days seems to be back fluctuating between .6-.65, fairly confident I'll at least make through September(my birthday month) before I have to find another job.

I'm pretty content with it, as making all my money off OSRS has been nice - I'm starting to get BORED. I've still been making more than I did working for $10.00/Hr but man, I never thought I'd actually start getting bored without work. Worked almost every day for about 4 years, 7 months off now and I'm officially bored as bloody hell, even though I'm still making money.

After my birthday I think I'll continue to gold farm and go find another place to work - at least part time. I figured working from home was the dream, but honestly it's pretty boring after a while. I basically don't have to have a schedule/routine at all, which I surprisingly miss a bit

 

What do you do? gold farm?

 

Yeah I've been running a gold farm for a few years now, it's almost fully automated so I barely have to put any work in. (Probably why I'm becoming so bored with it.)

The second I started making more $$$ doing this than I did at work, I quit. I mean.. I absolutely hated that job so I was determined to get out. Hopefully I can find something I actually like, gold farming has been a nice break.

 

The plite of the gold farmer you bring so much gp into the game at such a high rate that you kill your own profits. Lol

 

Doesn't quite work that way, if there were high barriers of entry and very few hand the knowledge to run bot farms this point would be valid, but the info to start and run a bot farm arent to high and others would just enter the market if far fewer gold farming accounts existed or gold prices were much higher. Overall its more of a make what you can while you can industry.

 

I agree with this but inflation how ever it happens is still inflation.

 

After the dump period I think it will stabalize .7-.8

 

Prices will (hopefully) increase per/m after this staking update

 

Prices will rise a bit now and won't drop for a long time. Prices are very stable and with the 1% gold sink should rise a bit. Unless people use gambling sites like the one in my sig which don't charge tax. Seen a big increase in people on the betting site since the duel arena change..

 

The gold sink is going to help drastically with gold prices. Who knows, maybe we'll see it back up in the .80 range.

 

I hope this is the case! I already see quite the increase in prices. I'm ready, lmao. Now I wish I would have saved the few B I dumped when it was under .6/M

 

Hey you still made good money it's alright I can't see it going much further than 0.7$ for fast sales to sites. 1% sand casino tax is fair but not too much that it will affect things a lot I think

Knowing Jagex they'll just add new monsters/bosses into the game that drop even more gold and alchables. And because of the taxation they'll bother even less about balancing the drops.

I think in the long run things will stay the same.

Prices definitely went up, it's way more noticeable when you're dealing with billions of GP. When dealing with that much gold any little increase helps drastically for gold farmers.

You're most certainly right! I can't beat myself up too much about it, I'll just keep it moving while prices are decent
