Is it sexual harassment?

I complimented a women that worked at the Dunkin donuts near my house on how beautiful the color of her hair was. I mean it was, it was a beautiful shade of red. And she seemed to take it well as if she appreciated it and said thanks. Im wondering, is this sexual harassment? I hope not because I was just trying to be nice not creepy or anything. Preferably would like response's from women on this site.

I just looked up the page and I don't see how this applies to the post that I made. I'm not sure if you're inferrinng that I'm a virgin or something. This kind of seems like a shit post. I'm asking a real question. I'm not looking for jokes.

No, not sexual harassment at all, nor is it a shameful comment. Simply a compliment. As said above could be creepy if you said it in a weird way, but if you said something like "your hair looks really beautiful" or "i think your hair is really pretty" it is just a nice compliment. Anything involving body weight, breasts, butt, or shape of body can be curved into sexual harassment. Definitely wouldn't constitute this as any of those, so hopefully you made her day a little bit better.

I kind of want to ask her out but I'd like to actually have some real conversations first, I mean I don't really know anything about her. So far we just say hi which is nothing. plus she's supposed to act nice since I'm a customer and I don't want to take her kindness the wrong way. That weird dude that just thinks girls are hitting on them when they're just being nice. Which I'm not like that at all.

Nah, like Bryan said as long as it's just a generic compliment you're all good. Keep in mind though that when you're a customer its their job to be friendly even if they don't want to, so if you want to have a proper conversation with them try to do it outside of their working hours.

 

I mean that's the plan just need to figure out how to make that happen. Also yeah I'm aware they're supposed to be nice to me I've worked in food service a long time. Thanks for the advice.

Try find a way to pass them a note with your number and a message asking if they want to meet up after work / the weekend. Better to do something like that where they don't have to think on the spot whilst also under the pressures of a working environment.
