[FREE] Maple Bow Lure Guide (I've made 10B+)

My backround
I've done this scam for over a year, and during university and while travelling it's been there to provide a small amount of side cash. I estimated my hours spent Vs what I made, and it equated to being £10.00 an hour. Thus, I knows the ins and outs and I am here to explain!

Firstly, you must know that anything related to scams and luring in osrs, the player base is not 10 years old anymore, so it is more difficult than it was. However, there are still noobs out there, believe me! It just takes persistence. Somedays I'd only make 10m, but some I could make up to a bill (highest ever day).

Account to use
Best account to use: 40 range, nothing else. Make it look as nooby as possible. 30 range accounts take too long to kill 99 defence, which means they X log and you won't get the money (they still lose it).

Required items:
- a lot of maple bows
- few thousand rune arrows
- 1k Addy arrows
- 1 handed range weapon (darts/knives)
- junk in inventory, items the people think you have won from others.


The location
2 choices: GE or Duel arena. Best slot being the bank near the duel arena. GE will result in quick scams, usually lower amounts but will lead to mutes/bans faster. At the duel you can either stand at bank, or the teleport spot, and won't be banned for a while. I changed accounts every 2 weeks however.

The scam: how it works
This scam works, because people think they are antiscamming you. They will try and sneak the right arrows in for their bow, and will kill you.

However, this won't happen. You will have 2 saved presets which counter this antiscam.

To begin, you will be in location, spamming "quitting, staking anyone trade me for a bow". Once they trade, give them the bow and the wrong arrows, then try and stake them.

Preset 1: this preset is exactly like a whip preset, but has range on and not melee or magic. The victim is wearing his bow, and is trying to get you with the right arrows. However you have the shield slot blocked, which is required to wear a bow, and you have a 1 handed range weapon in your inventory, which you kill them with and take their gold.

If the person has a 1 handed range weapon on them, as them to bank it to stake. If they refuse, try preset 2.

Here, it is the same setting, but with the shield slot not blocked, and no weapon switch is on. Bare in mind to have no weapon switch on you also need to have all the attack styles on. You will need to make sure that the person is wearing a bow, with the wrong or no arrows equipped, and also has no runes in their inventory. You have your maple bow and correct (adamant) arrows equipped.

Both if done correctly leave the opponent unable to attack you back, while your noob account slowly kills them. It's always kind of awkward, some X-log, so if it's a brand new account make sure you bring the highest level ammo so you kill them in time.

Those are the 2 settings to use, and with those you should be able to make some money!

The competition
A few people do this scam, and it can be pretty crowded, and one will likely spam you with a bot telling everyone how the scam works. The best response to this is to either leave your account spamming, letting them know you won't move. They eventually stop. Or just move.

Potential antiscams:

• Hidden runes in soul bearer (preset 2)
• Impling jars (open for 1 handed range weapon or runes, preset 1)
• Fletching cape gives a crossbow, they will have bolts in invin, equipped or in bolt bag. Good opportunity to do preset 2
• Chinchompas (1handed range wep) hidden amongst pets

Please do not beg, if you want to make money start a service thread where you quest for others. If you are legitimate and do not scam you will gain far more money than you can make in-game.

It's been exposed multiple times but still works because slot of people still think the scam is that you give them the wrong type of arrows.
