Is it worth making an account/ironman in 2k18...

I had a comp cape acc banned last october, been contemplating making a new acc, I have a decent 07 acc, but ya.. sorta miss rs3, let me know your opinions.

 

IMHO rs3 will be dead before osrs. It really just depends on what combat style you prefer. Oldschool xp rates are slower, gold holds more value and the pk scene is still thriving.

 

Lmfao. Why slave in a game. NOPE. Ironman makes you slave runescape which is dumb. Worst decision. Won't change your liking for the game or nostalgia.

 

Do whatever makes you happy and don't forget why you play. for fun. unless you decide to max it out then quit. sell off the account but i'd say it'd just be a waste of time. OSRS is where it's at. To each their own.

 

You can. I didn't make one because of all the hours it would take. But they do give you a huge sense of accomplishment.

 

Its never worth it to make an ironman unless you really love this game and want to challenge yourself in a full slave mode.

Other than that, ironman will make you feel better. It will help battle staking/gambling addictions.

It is alot harder. It requires alot more patience. Its overall a waste of time. But I enjoyed making a hardcore ironman because I wanted to see how far I could go.

I hate to say this. Rs3 even though I loved it and maxed 2 mains It is an absolute waste of life and time.

The game is horrible, shit designs and barely survives on cosmetics and spins.

OSRS Revenue from Bonds and members is massive, OSRS is a much better game, has a much MUCH Bigger playerbase.

Osrs is the only game where you can walk into the GE and see a group of nazis marching around

 

Couldn't agree more with all the previous comments. RS3 is dieing so fast it's definetely not worth starting over again. Maybe try to search some new fun in OSRS ^^

 

If you wanna do it for fun, then yes. Im always doing stuff like ironman and etc in other games (just for myself)

 

Ironman is the only respectable way to play RS3 now because of how p2w it is

I actually just created an Ironman account after maxing my main and I'm enjoying it quite well. In my honest opinion it can really get you back into the game and sometime require quite a bit of concentration. It's definitely not AFKscape unless you're doing certain skills. If you ask me, I'd say go for it and make the iron!

 

If you have big goals such as 120s, comp cape etc don't bother dead game.

 

I think it is worth a shot, I'm almost maxed on RS3 but I just started an ironman on OSRS to try and get back into the game. Its brought a different level of fun for me.

 

It’s great until you get to the lategame stages on Rs3. With 07 you just keep on top of farming/herblore and you have a few specific bosses that give good resources you want to farm, Rs3 is more about dailies. To be efficient you need to do a few hours of the same daily stuff every single day before you can play the rest of the content.

Until they fix that i’d recommend to just stick to oldschool

 

I would say if you enjoyed RS3 ignore what other people's opinions are about the game, and go ahead and play it. If you don't want to simply repeat what you did with your comp cape account, I would say ironman would be the best way for you.

 

I sold (was scammed out of) my near-max account right here on Sythe last year sometime, and I just came back to the game in early June 2018. Been having a blast. Starting over has taken no time at all! I swapped over roughly 50M from OSRS and got over 250M rs3 for it, so that helped a ton. Been on the grind ever since, and already have 1650+ total, fire cape, curses, 95 prayer, ancients, and such. Of course that 50M from OSRS did make it a lot easier, it's not like it was a necessity.

Definitely look into either swapping or buy a couple hundred mil if you want to get back into late game or bossing as quick as possible, as the low level grind can be intimidating/a turn off for a returning player

And of course if you want to be an Iron Man, just be sure you know what you're signing up for - it's a grindfest, but extremely personally rewarding, dude.

If you enjoyed the game when your comper got banned, you'll fit right back in no problem.

 

This is the Rs3 section, seriously why are there so many haters? Old school combat is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Their graphics trigger my nostalgia for 8-bit PacMan. Their skills are gridlocked because their community was traumatized by EOC that any big new changes simply MUST mean Jagex is planning to re-traumatize them. They literally need therapy the letters "E" "O" "C" bent them out of shape so bad.

What I don't get is you throw mud at Rs3 because you have more players and streamers....Every RS3 subscription helps pay for your pacifier game lol. Not to mention mtx and solomons are gross, but they are a tremendous source of income for Jagex. Furthermore skilling might be worthless but it's also way more AFK on 07.....So I call that a good balance.

I realize the salt levels are about to cause heart failure. But if you made it this far, 2 things. First, not trying to pick a fight any more then others did. This is my personal opinion, take it with a grain of salt people....(No Pun intended! )

Second, It's more then likely if one goes, they both do. Arguing who will kneel first is completely irrelevant. Our good time whether we just had fun or made money one day will be just a distant memory. It's sad but more then likely because in case this is news to anyone. Jagex is probably one of the worst companies in their field. It's why I don't lose even a tiny bit of sleep at night ripping them off.

In conclusion: Just play whatever game is whichever style you want man. Soak it in, and enjoy it. I certainly will be.

 

You have to think... Will rs3 still be going in the next few years
