[DENIED] Lets start using the Vouch forum properly and stop the bumping loophole?

Lol @Divine what you're describing is the typical issues the average American desk worker has. Don't make it seem like selling gold is this intense thing because it's not at all. Once you've been around for a bit and you have your suppliers and workers it's a insanely easy business. The bigger the site the easier it is to run and make a profit, if you disagree you're just bad at business. Don't act like what we all do is rocket science, any kid with $20k can make a site happen.

But the vouch system should stay the way it is either way. Shouldn't be confined to a section.

 

+. The argument is about if they work hard. It's about how these "People" are using their sales to bump their threads and pushes the people who uses the bump button legit-ly down.

I support this decision / suggestion as it is a loophole to get bumps from customers who purchase from their gold site thread. We have a vouch forum for a reason and throwing a vouch in a sales thread is a loophole to get your thread bumped to the first page. Those who voted No or disagree with this suggestion are using this loophole to get free bumps from customers by essentially paying them.

 

Tbf way i see it is if a person gets a sale then they should have the right to tell the person to vouch in there thread.... 8 hour bump timer is silly... by the time youve done that post\bump theres another 20 people doing the same thing so your thread literally ends back up at the bottom and lets not forget the newcomers who post multi threads.

also lets not forget it is in the rules and allows it.

We have refined the rules on Sythe to prohibit people avoiding the 8 hour bump timer. From now on, requesting a user post anything other than a vouch on your thread is equivalent to excessive bumping. (says it right here)

This means no more asking people to confirm their identity by posting on your threads. No requesting users to post order forms. You can use the Sythe Private Messaging system if you want to confirm identities.

Order forms are allowed. Customers can use them if they are used of their own volition. I.e, a customer comes to Sythe.org, searches for gold, finds a thread, posts the forum, and proceeds with the trade.

Forms being used to intentionally bump said thread for the OP, those will be deleted/infracted.

 

so either way you can use order forms to bump(if a customer wanted a sale then filled out the form) even if they removed the vouching bumps... so only way to change all that is too change alllll the rules and annoy alot of people.

 

100% support, this is a clear loophole. I specifically used to tell people to vouch in my actual threads rather than my vouch page in order to get a bump. But let's see what matters more to staff: their own personal gain or a more fair marketplace

I've reviewed Flyingtoast's suggestion as a solution to this, as you all seemed to agree with what he said. The problem with this is, the bigger traders gives incentives to users who go and vouch on their thread, bumping the thread up to aquire more business. This has been going on for years, and we do not see it fit to change the system. They have worked their business up for years to get to the point of where they are at, and punishing them because they have more trades / business is not fair. These gold sites not only promote registering an account on our website, but it brings user engagement to Sythe, some of these new members are vouching for their sole benefit but actually could stick around. New members, user engagement. If this benefit was removed, the websites most likely would never offer the user benefits they offer now.

At the end of the day, I understand established gold sellers do not need the vouches, and work the system, but they built up to where they are today and punishing them is not fair. Did you think about when you bump your thread in the gold section in about 30 minutes it would be off of the front page, because so many people have active market threads there? This suggestion would not help smaller users get business either, you are more than welcome to do what the bigger traders are doing.
