Our logic is correct. Theirs is incorrect. How do we know? By comparing how well it measures up to reality. You can think that shooting yourself in the mouth will make you immortal all you want, but if you do it, you will die.

1). Burden of proof is upon the believer.

2). Cells are mechanical. Why would they go to heaven? Do Furby's go to heaven when they break down?

 

What supports the hypothesis of heaven? Nothing. We're animals, just like dogs, but less intelligent. If they don't go to heaven neither do we. We evolved over billions of years and are the end result of our evolutionary chain. Our jaws are shrinking showing that we are still evolving.

They do not because if Furbys went to heaven Furby Heaven would be a living Hell for those residing within.

 

But hes trying to make the specific point that there is no undeniable proof that we don't go to heaven. I understand that you could say your stand point is more correct because it measures up to reality better, but honestly, reality doesn't exist. No one can be sure of reality, as its impossible to prove that certain things don't exist, when they in fact could. There are many things we haven't uncovered, yet they are a part of reality.

 

correct me if im wrong but arnt we just made up of cells? therefor we are no different to your furby. we are just one big chemical reaction. no matter how complex we are we are still no different to any living thing, wether it be bacteria or a fly, when our chemical reactions stop, we turn into nothing different to a furby without batteries.

Soooo, if cells dont get a heaven then niether do we.

 

But then your saying that it is proven that cells don't go to heaven/hell. We are just cells, we are plainly matter in space. But our systems have developed so that we can think beyond normal rationale, and explore the unknown. But we WILL NEVER know if there is something beyond the cells, something like a soul. The only reason is that our knowledge is limited, and we will never be able to find out. So maybe furbies do go to heaven (by the way, most annoying things in the world!). But it comes down to the "What ifs?" or the "Maybes".

 

After you die, you get judged. After you are judged, you go to heaven or hell depending on what you have done in the world. But remember, Allah is the most merciful and most compassionate.

 

Have you not been looking at the thread? You need proof and reasoning behind your theories. There is no UNDENIABLE proof that heaven does/does not exist.

Agh. And no one has proof that there IS a heaven or hell besides a book that has been morphed through years of translation. The original bible is LOST, same with all other original texts. Translation has ruined them and made them different. Unless you give me proof of heaven's/hell's existence, I can not accept they are real.

When someone dies, Its not the end. When they are in their graves. Two angels associate him/her. If you have done good things in life, they get A garden from heaven, and place it in your grave. Your grave expands maybe Millions of metres, Depends on how much good stuff you have done. If you did bad stuff in life, The angels get a pit from hell. Your grave closes up. Gets tighter. You stay in there until judgement day. And then on Judgement day, everyone rises from their graves and starts to get judged.

First off, use correct grammar and punctuation please, it annoys me when this isn't done so. Secondly, how many times is it stated that you need proof before something's a fact.

 

He didn't present it as fact, he presented it as his belief.

 

X_Diety_X. I don't mean to get off topic but, you don't just go to hell. The bible states you always have one chance to go to heaven, christian or not unless you deny jesus (christanity) or god (christanity/jewish) when they invite you to eternal life

 

I like to believe that there is an afterlife, but i doubt it.

 

My Theory, not meant to cause any offense or unhappiness :

When humans, animals (and maybe plants) die, their body rots yet their spirit moves on and you are reborn as a new person. To the person who stated on first page that in this case our population would not be changing, I believe that the human population is growing due to us wiping out animal species, deforestation, extinction and many other contributing factors and more souls (i think thats the suitable word) are available for being reborn.

As to whether they are reborn as a human, an animal (or a plant), i think some complicated method is in place, maybe something like the Hat in Harry Potter or a spinning wheel or a dice :l

Ok.. as I write this my theory has more and more flaws, but what do you think? Absolute nonsense?

This is just an example that there isn't any heaven or hell. This is all just made up through religion, which is people's immoral imagination. Just another reason to believe science: when you die you don't think anymore and become a load of dead cells.
