Middle Man Applications

Currently it is required to have a minimum of 25 trades to have an MM application pend.

With the RWT problems, I think this is much harder to achieve MM than it was previously, The requirements should be changed.

Also, eg. An account trade for gp, would now take up to an hour to finalize everything.

There should be other ways that applicants can acquire trust.

 

Yeah, and unless you're doing a massive trade MM's are pretty much eliminated via bounty hunter.. Using one takes a lot longer. Maybe after this 'item sharing' is updated on Runescape, there will be some exploits where MM's will have more use, besides from just taking up more time and effort.

 

The fact that Middle-Manning is so hard these days, should mean the requirements for official Middle-Man are kept the same.

If kept the same, would provide more security for buyers, and besides, a max of 25 hours training isn't that much. You are dealing with others money and time remember.

 

I do agree that it is much safer, But the MM process Is much too complicated now. Something has to be changed, other ways of acquiring trust.

 

I'd have to ask someone higher than me. The middleman process is not my turf.

 

I most certainly agree, but perhaps those who are doing the trades need the experience.

 

What about using proofs from WoW and shit type trades? I've never played wow, so I don't know how that would work...

but acquiring some experience from there, and from runescape, might make it a little better?

 

I agree Deacon, But again the chance of fake proofs increases.

 

Oh well, fake proofs are always a possibility. The ability to spot them is what will determine who's making it and who won't and will probably be banned.

 

people wanting to become an MM now should still have the 25 trade count to meet.
If people are whining it's to hard to get the 25, surely that can only provide a more trustable group of Official Middle Men.

 

Well half the Official's don't remember how to MM, so that is not working out too greatly.

 

They should be changed, I think it would be much easier to get MM if they change it.

 

I don't mind that its hard to get MM apps, but at the moment its nearly impossible to get all the trades done.

 

But let me ask you this :

Would you rather someone who did lets say..15 trades, MM a 50m (250$ at 5$ a mill) or someone who did 25 trades, who knows what they are doing and can do it better than the previous person?

Personally, i think the new trades are fine, along with the current rules

 

Probably won't occur. It's inferred to be much safer with a higher amount of trades regardless of BH.

Yes Viper, I do agree that It should be totally up to staff, But as Deacons said, I think other methods of acquiring proofs should be a possibility.

 

Macro, there are still plenty of ways around the trade limit and to avoid doing Bounty Hunter trades. Ive recently worked out a method to transfer 230M per hour which Im now selling . At a loss of 150k per 1M it is a pretty decent method, safer and faster than bounty hunter.

Im certain there are litterally hundreds of other methods still out there waiting to be exploited. Just work actively to discover one of these methods or buy someone's guide to non-BH RWT if Bounty Hunter is something you dislike.

1 god damn day it worked for after I spent 3 days trawling the GE Database to discover it. I guess its time to start looking through the database once more *sighs*.

 

Perhaps creating and completing an application would change your mind.
