Thinking about joining the military

Well, I am thinking about joining the military. I dont beleive fully in what the military is doing But I am 90%. 3 of my family members have died for the military. My sister (She was a nurse her station got ambushed by a raid and unfortinatly she was stuck in a cross fire). My brother D.I.A along with my cousion. These were the only 3 members of my family that has joined the military. I need to finish High school (NOT LONG UNTILL I DO) but i want some oppinions on what I should do/ should I join the military? Shouldnt I join the Military? Give your persinal oppinions on it. And I know every one of you is mature enough not to spam or flame

If you have the willpower, do it, and if you don't have the willpower, the military could probably give it to you... It's a lot of honor to do it, and i support you.

 

I also am looking into joining. But to be honest wed only be helping the bad guys by joining them.

I just signed my contract for the Navy April 29th of 2008. I leave September 12th 2008.

I don't love who runs my country, I don't love the ideals from the people of my country, I don't like the people who live in my country...

But my country is my country. I will defend her no matter what. For when my forefathers signed the declaration, and when they showed the courage to break off from tyranny, they enstilled in our country Honor, Courage and Commitment. Since those days we have flourished as a whole, and seen more in our few years than most countries see in their life.

America is home and hope to many, but not many realize the country they live in isn't the people who run it... it's the people who made it. I don't support George Bush, yes, he is my commander and chief and I will always listen to an order, but I will not allow a nowaday politician to destroy my country's history.

I fight for my country by joining. I will give my life, and I will give my spirit if it means that the people who take advantage of what they have can do so for just a little longer.

It's pride, and you should experience it. Sign up, because what other reason do you need? Sure, they pay well, they give you full medical and dental, they even put you through college...

But what greater right is their than the right to say "I served my country, I defended her against all enemies foreign and domestic. I love my country, and I shall stand by my country till death."

I'm currently too young to enlist in the army, Thus for I'm doing Air Force Cadets, When I turn 18, I'm going to enlist in the army for a year or two. When I return I will continue my career as a pilot and maybe join the air force.

I've though about commercial but the pay isn't worth it.

 

Join the military, help you're country. I'm ganna join the military when im 20.

 

my friend joined the military. he wasnt the fittest of people but he made it. he said most of it was hard the thing i remembered was the Uniform Check where you had to stand still for hours

 

The hardest part of that is remaining conscious, You have to constantly wiggle your toes or else you loose blood in you're brain and faint.

 

If I were you I would join, It will be a really cool experience and when you have kids later you will have a ton of stories, and there is a good chance you will get into the best shape of your life. If I were you I would join the Marine Corps. Im enlisting when I graduate I'm really excited.

 

Do not listen to a word recruiters say.

 

What do you mean by that?

 

Two things:
1. Don't trust them, or believe them
2. Get it in writing.

 

Their job is to get people to sign up, a job that is increasingly difficult in this day and age. If they tell a little fib, what do they care?

 

I'm joining the Airforce when I'm 18.

 

Don't join the army you'll be killing innocent people.

 

Do it. It takes a lot of bravery and courage to join the Army, and I wish you luck. It will definitely discipline you if you aren't already.

I wouldn't join the military, but it's your preference.
