    invaild BOOT.INI file Booting from C:/windows

    I get that message when i first start up my comp then after that i get the options to boot normal, last known good config, safe modes??? why is this and how do i fix? when i select any of the option it starts to load then restarts the process. What to do?

    Well, what i know about the Run Normally etc. from when i had windows is when you hold down the power button to shut off too many times. It does this probably cause of sudden shut-down, if you have been doing normal shut down than i dk sry.

    no i shutdown it normally but the last time i shutdown this is what happened

    i went to start>turn off computer>shutdown
    it takes a while to shutdown so i pressed ctrl alt delete and at that moment the start bar disappeared and then i shutdown from the task manager.
    The next time i start up this happened

    Mount your hard drive
    Look in BOOT.INI
    Fix shit
    Reboot without CD in drive

    Log on, go

    Start> Run> type "msconfig" go to boot.ini settings and change the boot sequence.
